Bids will be received until 11:00 a.m. (local time) on November 24, 2015.

3 General Terms and Conditions In setting forth the requirements that follow, it is the intent of the School District to offer equal opportunity to all bidders. Items referred to by manufactures name and number is for descriptive purpose only, and is not intended to be restrictive. Whenever and wherever we use a single manufactures' name and number whether or not followed by the words "or of equal quality", that it is subject to equals as accepted or approved. Bidding is to be governed by the following conditions: 1. Bidders are advised to bid a package price for turnkey project. Any allowance or cash discount for payment within a certain period after delivery shall be indicated on the bid; otherwise, it shall be presumed that payment is to be made on the basis of net 30 days. 2. Order to successful bidder shall be placed after award of the bid by the Board of Education. The bid will be considered at the December 8, 2015 meeting. 3. Prices quoted will remain firm for a period of 60 days after bid-closing date. Bidders may withdraw their bids anytime prior to the scheduled closing date or receipt of the bids. 4. The North Kansas City Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and the right to be the sole judge of what it shall consider to be the lowest and best bid. 5. 4 General Specifications Overview Turnkey installation of new fiber optic cable from Oak Park High School (825 NE 79 th Ter, Kansas City, MO 64118) to Northland Innovation Campus (6889 North Oak Trafficway, Gladstone, MO 64118) following existing North Kansas City Schools encroachments and hand holes when possible. Specifics Contractor shall be responsible for a professional engineer (PE) plan to present to the City of Kansas City, Missouri for right-of-way permits. Contractor may be responsible for assisting with obtaining encroachment permit from the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Contractor shall be responsible for any and all permits related to the projects, including but not limited to, City of Kansas City, Missouri, State of Missouri Highway, and parking. Contractor shall be responsible for the acquisition, delivery, storage, and installation of materials and supplies related to this project. o Fiber optic cable shall be 12 strands Fiber optic cable should be jacketed single armor cable Siecor/Corning or Superior Essex with a sheath are acceptable Send Part Number of cable to NKC schools for review (Eric Sipes) Fiber should be encased in orange or black duct to distinguish from our current fiber. Conduit shall be 1 ½ diameter. Contractor shall be responsible for splicing and termination of all connections Contractor is responsible for repairing any damage cuts to NKC Schools existing fiber optic lines. Project should be completed by May 1, 2016 Contractor shall test all fiber connections and provide a map to NKC Schools upon completion of project. Page 4
