Abbreviations for state courts can be developed by consulting Appendix 1 and Rule 2 concerning abbreviations and spacing. In addition, abbreviations for state courts and territorial courts can be located at If you cannot find an entry for the court you wish to cite, consult Appendix 3, which contains general abbreviations.
