Provided below are questions we plan to ask, as well as some answers you can use. However, we encourage you to try to make your own answers and make them specific to you and your organization. 6 Have You Scheduled Your Free Well-Woman Visit This Year? You can receive copay-free women s health services with most health insurance plans when seen by an in-network provider. This is true even if you haven t met your yearly deductible. These preventative services allow your doctor to help you stay healthy and prevent future health problems! COPAY-FREE SERVICES FOR WHO? Well-woman visit with a doctor or nurse Women under 65 Get a physical exam and talk about your health goals in order to stay healthy. Birth control (contraceptives) and counseling Sexually active women Prevent pregnancy until you are ready for a baby. STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) and HIV testing Test for STIs such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV. Many infections have no or mild symptoms. Pap test (cervical cancer screening) Sexually active or pregnant women Sexually active women Check for cervical cancer cells early so you can treat it early and prevent cervical cancer. Breast cancer screening (mammogram) Check for breast cancer. Most women can survive breast cancer if it is found and treated early. Breastfeeding support, supplies, and counseling Women over 40 Pregnant women Talk to your doctor about breastfeeding. It is very healthy for you and your baby. Anemia screening Pregnant women Check your blood routinely, so you can protect yourself and your baby. Bone density test (osteoporosis screening ) Women over 60 Check the strength of your bones. Weak bones are more likely to break. Domestic violence screening and counseling Women of all ages If you have experienced any abuse or trauma, talk to your doctor about getting help. Depression screening Women of all ages If you think you might be sad or feeling hopeless, talk with a doctor. Blood pressure test Women of all ages Check your blood pressure and ask if you need to be screened for diabetes or tested for high cholesterol. Vaccines Protect yourself and others from serious diseases. Ask your doctor about the HPV vaccine. Tobacco use screening Cessation interventions are available to help you quit smoking and lower your risk of lung cancer, stroke, heart disease and more.
