"electronic signature means an electronic sound, symbol, or process, attached to or logically associated with a contract or other record and executed or adopted by a person with the intent to sign the record. This is the definition given by the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act of " Ariba, Inc. All rights reserved.

5 How does it work with Ariba Contract Mgmt? Ariba CM Customers can generate a PDF and send a final contract to DocuSign for Signature. 8 Difference between Digital and Electronic Signatures? Electronic Signature is a more broad term, referring to the ability to verify who signed and when. Digital Signatures (which are also Electronic Signatures) are a specific method of verifying that a person signed, using a PKI (Public Key Interface). Ariba (and DocuSign) do NOT use Digital Signatures, as they are very difficult to make work for external users, as they require a Key BEFORE signing Ariba, Inc. All rights reserved.

10 Ariba s Electronic Signature Design Signature functionality can be switched on/off via a Parameters.table setting, as it might not be appropriate for all customers. Signatures supported for PDF documents Designed to work with Server Side PDF feature Can also work with any PDF document Electronic signing process management will be implemented using a new type of task. 11 Electronic Signature Design (2 of 2) Signatures can be placed anywhere, using strings like SIGNATURE_0001. Format is controllable via parameter. If you choose not to embed the signatures in the actual document, checking the AutoCreate Signatures flag on the Signature task automatically appends a signature page with the correct number of blocks at the end of the assembled PDF document Ariba, Inc. 12 Document Merge Process (Concatenate PDF) Office documents required to be merged into the final PDF file will be assembled in any order desired. The concatenated PDF will reside in a predetermined spot in the Workspace. This makes it easy to place process and tasks on the yet to be built PDF document. This is known as an Assembled PDF. You can create the PDF as many times as you like, and we will store all versions Ariba, Inc. All rights reserved.

15 The basic flow 1. Build PDF document to be signed and Publish. 2. In Signature task, define which users (via address) you want to sign and submit task. 3. Document and Signer list is sent to DocuSign automatically and DocuSign sends s. 4. Signers click link in from DocuSign and sign (no account required). 5. Once document is fully signed, the signed PDF is automatically sent back to Ariba, and added as a new version. 1. State is updated to Signed (was in Signing during steps 3, 4) for Document. 2.
