As highlighted in the Ministry s October 14 th LBS Update, we remain committed to providing LBS organizations with regular updates regarding EOIS CaMS milestones. Over the coming weeks, a significant amount of information will be released to LBS providers relating to EOIS CaMS. This information will be critical to supporting an effective system launch. To ensure you are aware of the information well in advance, the table below highlights upcoming key communication items. Each communication item within the table is accompanied by a brief description, as well as the estimated date of distribution. Please note additional EOIS CaMS related communiqués to LBS organizations may occur within this timeline. We strongly encourage you to become familiar with this information and look for these items in the coming weeks. 1

2 Planned Communications For the Release of EOIS CaMS to LBS Service Delivery Organizations Estimated Date Communication Item of Distribution/Posting Authentication of the Service Provider Registration Authority (SPRA) This communiqué will apprise LBS service delivery organization of the Ministry s requirement to authenticate LBS SPRA nominees by a Ministry Service Delivery Manager. Ministry staff will contact LBS Service Delivery Organizations to set up SPRA Authentication meetings. Early Fall 2011 Audience: This item will be of particular interest to LBS program managers. The EOIS CaMS Training Resource Guide for LBS Service Delivery Organizations The EOIS CaMS Training Resource Guide for LBS Service Delivery Organizations will provide LBS service delivery organizations with detailed information about the EOIS CaMS training which will be delivered in February and March Available in English and French, The Training Resource Guide will outline in detail: o The delivery of the EOIS CaMS training. o Explain how computer based, online training and in classroom o instruction will be used. Explain who should (and shouldn t) attend the classroom training; and, when and where this training will be available. The Training Resource Guide will include a calendar of the classroom training sessions. (Each LBS service delivery organization will be assigned to a session.) Late Fall 2011 * How to navigate to this document at the EOPG is illustrated later in this communiqué. LBS Participant Registration Form The Ministry plans to distribute a communiqué informing LBS service delivery organizations of the requirement to use a new LBS Participant Registration Form. In addition to announcing the introduction of the standardized form for April 2012, the communiqué will highlight privacy and client consent considerations regarding the collection and care of client information. By mid December

Ministry staff will contact LBS Service Delivery Organizations to set up SPRA Authentication meetings. Early Fall 2011 Audience: This item will be of particular interest to LBS program managers.

3 LBS Year End Learner Transition/Carry Over Instructions Early in the 4 th quarter, the Ministry will provide LBS service delivery organizations with instructions on: 11/12 year end LBS IMS interim reporting and follow up instructions, as well as Guidance on how to treat LBS carry over learners. For illustrative purposes, the communiqué will highlight basic learner scenarios to assist LBS service delivery organizations with the transition. January 2012 Audience: This item will be of interest to LBS Program Managers. EOIS CaMS User Guide for Service Providers, Release 3.0 First published in May 2010, with the initial launch of the system to Ministry staff, a new version of the EOIS CaMS User Guide for Service Providers will be published which will include all updates to the system in Release 3.0. The User Guide will detail all important system transactions for LBS service delivery organizations. The User Guide will be published in a searchable PDF format. AN IMPORTANT RESOURCE FOR ALL LBS SERVICE DELIVERY ORGANIZATION USERS OF EOIS CaMS. January 2012 Allocation of EOIS CaMS Licenses and User Accounts to LBS Service Delivery Organizations Prior to March 1, 2012, LBS Service Delivery Organizations will be notified of the number of EOIS CaMS licenses and user accounts that will be allocated to LBS organizations. Each organization will receive a unique allocation of licenses and user accounts. This information will be critical to LBS Service Provider Registration Authorities. This communiqué will include links to information regarding the set up of user accounts by LBS SPRAs. Audience: This item will be of particular interest to LBS program managers. A Reminder for LBS Service Delivery Organizations: EOIS CaMs Training This communiqué will act as reminder to LBS service delivery organizations of the upcoming EOIS CaMS training. Depending on a user s system role (i.e., Service Provider Manager, Service Provider Administrator, Service Provider Caseworker), LBS staff will be reminded to complete their online training modules, and for designated staff to attend the classroom based training. Mid to Late February 2012 Early February

For illustrative purposes, the communiqué will highlight basic learner scenarios to assist LBS service delivery organizations with the transition.

4 EOIS CaMS Resources Release 3.0 Updated EOIS CaMS online training modules, desk aids, reports desk aids and report user guides will be released, prior to launch, which will reflect updates to the system encompassed as part of Release 3.0. This release will include both updates to existing resources and the introduction of new resources. March 2012 LBS EOIS CaMS Day 1 Start Up Kit An LBS EOIS CaMS Day 1 Start Up Kit will be published for LBS Service Delivery Organizations detailing the steps which a new EOIS CaMS user must take to get started in the system. The Kit will be vital to system users as they become familiar with EOIS CaMS. A Reminder for LBS Service Delivery Organizations: Pre launch User Set up With the approaching launch of the system, a brief reminder will be distributed to LBS service delivery organizations prompting SPRAs to set up their system users in the system. Resources will be available on the EOPG, to support them in the registration process. Late March 2012 Late March 2012 Audience: This item will be of particular interest to LBS program managers. Day 1 Announcement Go Live for LBS A brief communiqué is planned for LBS Service Delivery Organizations immediately prior to the official launch of EOIS CaMS to LBS Service Delivery Organizations. The communiqué will remind LBS Service Delivery Organizations of the various system resources available to them. April 2012 POST APRIL 1, 2012 Announcement of Interactive Online Module for LBS This communiqué will announce the availability of the Interactive Online Module for LBS. This interactive module will focus on the functionality of the LBS Service Plan and is tentatively planned to be released in late April Late April

Release 3.0. This release will include both updates to existing resources and the introduction of new resources.

5 As has been our practice since the launch of EOIS CaMS to the Employment Service network, all EOIS CaMS communications items will be posted, in English and French, on the Employment Ontario Partners Gateway (EOPG). The EOPG site is the single host for the various resources to support partners and agencies within the Employment Ontario network. LBS organizations should check the EOIS CaMS section of the EOPG frequently for up to date communications related to Release 3.0 of EOIS CaMS. (To help with tracking of upcoming communications items, we plan to use a simple number system. In brief, each communiqué will have a number in addition to a SUBJECT line clearly marked on initial pages. For example, this communiqué number is CaMS/LBS , identified in the upper right hand corner of page 1.) For those LBS organizations that may not be familiar with the EOIS CaMS section on the EOPG, the following screens will assist providers on how to access to the relevant resources: Sample: Where will the EOIS CaMS Training Resource Guide for LBS be stored on the EOPG? Go to and select the Employment Ontario Information Systems link from the left navigation bar. 5

LBS organizations should check the EOIS CaMS section of the EOPG frequently for up to date communications related to Release 3.0 of EOIS CaMS.
