The course also introduces the efficient and effective ethical management of an organization and its financial systems. Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Describe the integrity of business and financial processes 2. Apply, with ethical considerations, financial concepts to ensure quality and integrity of financial data for stakeholders. 3. Evaluate decisions based on ethics models, professional judgment, financial and nonfinancial data 4. Explain the roles of professional and regulatory bodies in promoting ethics. 5. Assess critically contemporary ethical issues in business and the profession.

4 Teaching and Learning Activities (TLAs): (designed to facilitate students achievement of the CILOs) a. Lectures focus on the introduction, explanation and application of ethical models on issues arising from and related to accounting, with illustrations by referring to current ethical and accounting issues whenever appropriate. Occasional in-class discussions might be organized. b. c. Tutorials provide students with the opportunity to apply the concepts and theories acquired in lectures to real-life ethical issues. Activities may include student presentations and discussion of cases and problems.
