1 MAYO 2012 / Nº 7 Chilean and Peruvian delegations travel to Colombia Bogotá and Medellin were the scenarios for the MILA Analyst Day Colombia, an event that gathered, between May 9th to 11th, representatives of the most relevant companies of the Colombian capitals market and the analysts of the main Stock Brokerage firms from Chile, Peru and Colombia. The Chilean delegation included executives of the BCS, Banchile, GBM, Consorcio, IM Trust, Corpbanca and Larraín Vial, as well as BICE Inversiones. On the other hand, the Peruvian delegation included representatives of Inteligo, Profuturo, Banco de Crédito and Fondos Sura. The last version of the MILA Analyst Day will be carried out in Santiago de Chile, on June 11th and 12th, Businesses continue between companies of the countries that integrate MILA An unprecedented boom is being recorded by the acquisition operations between companies that operate in the countries that integrate MILA. According to the journal Diario Financiero of Chile On-Line version, in the last year six foreign companies have arrived in the country through the purchase of interest in companies, situation which has changed the Chilean financial sector participation overview. The most recent case was the Banco de Crédito of Perú, entity that purchased 60,6% of IMTrust. Another acquisition in the Latin American financial market is that made by BTG Pactual, form Brazil, which acquired control of the Chilean stock brokerage firm, Celfin Capital. This latter already had presence in the markets of Peru and Colombia, which makes evident the interest of the Brazilian firm to enter in the MILA markets through this acquisition. According to the Chilean communications media, MILA is the main motivation of the businesses. MILA MARKETS STATISTICS APRIL 2012 STOCK MARKET CAPITALIZATION OF MILA MARKETS The stock Exchange capitalization of the MILA markets accumulate a 21.27% growth so far in the year, as it went from US $599,271 million in December 2011 to US $726,763 million in Compared to the last month the indicator increased 0.79%, term in which reached US $721,074 million. The participation in the value of the listed companies by market as of s closing is distributed as follows: Chile 43.51%, Colombia 37.28% and Peru 19.20%. 2 MAYO 2012 / Nº 7 BCS elects members of the new board The new Board of Directors of the Stock Exchange of Santiago is made up by 11 members, six of whom integrate the board for the first time and five were re-elected. The new Board of Directors members of the stock exchange are Juan Eduardo Correa García, Nicholas Davis Lecaros, Juan Andrés Fontaine Talavera, Pablo Granifo Lavín, Hernán Somerville Senn and Oscar von Chrismar Carvajal, while, Juan Andrés Camus Camus, Jaime Larraín Vial, Eduardo Muñoz Vivaldi, Leonidas Vial Echeverría and Pablo Yrarrázaval Valdés will remain in their positions. The election was conducted under regulations provided by the new Bylaws, which eliminated the former requirement of being a stock broker or partner, shareholder, director or manager of a stock brokerage firm or its parent company to be Director of the Stock Exchange. BCS receives Awarding Client Excellence - ACE Award In a ceremony in Las Vegas, U.S, the BCS received the IBM 2012 Awarding Client Excellence (ACE) Award. The prestigious award, that recognizes exemplary innovation of the companies, highlighted the BCS for being the first Stock Exchange worldwide to implement its transactional systems using IBM technology WebSphere MQ Low Latency Messaging. This innovation transformed the BCS in a reference case for future implementations in the stock exchange industry. Such is the case of CHI-X Europe, Deustshe Borse, ISE International Securitie Exchange, Taifex Futures Exchange, Group BMV and Istanbul Stock Exchange. At present, the technology deployed in the BCS allows connection of services provided by international suppliers to offer direct access to the market. ISSUERS AND ISSUES OF THE MILA MARKETS As of 2012 the Integrated Latin American Market reached a total of 547 listed companies. During this period the Colombian company El Condor entered through an issue of US $91 million. 3 MAYO 2012 / Nº 7 PERFORMANCE OF MILA MARKET INDICES Stock Exchange Capitalization remains at historic peaks The value of the companies listed in the Colombian stock market recorded a new peak reaching at the end of US $270,95 billion. Comparing it with March the indicator recorded a 5.43% increase. In the twelve month period the BVC s exchange capitalization recorded a 17.33% increase. Colinversiones changes its name to Celsia The company Colinversiones, with a long history in the Colombian stock market, changed its name to Celsia. The decision, according to the directives, corresponds to the new strategic approach of the organization, which is engagedin the management of investments in other companies of the Colombian energy sector. With the change of name the stock exchange company s account name was also amended to CELSIA. Construcciones El Cóndor enters the market The infrastructure sector company, Construcciones El Cóndor, officially to the Colombian variable income (equity) market in, after a successful placement of shares through which it linked approximately new investors, and collected funds to finance its expansion plans. Among relevant aspects it is highlighted that there was an important participation of Chilean and U.S investors in the operation, which represented approximately 30% of the total demand for the securities. The account name of the new BVC issuer will be ELCONDOR. The index that measures the performance of the Integrated market, S&P MILA 40, presented a 1.30% variation in. So far in 2012 the most negotiated shares are Ecopetrol (US $2,714 million), Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp ( $2,234 million) and Lan Airlines ( $1,662 million). 3

Macro Indicators push profitability in the BVL The BVL accumulated a 16.46% profitability, remaining among the most profitable Latin American markets. The negotiation volumes observed are higher than those recorded in prior periods evidencing a growing appetite to invest in equity instruments. Similarly, the results are due to the good macroeconomic figures which suggest that the U.S economy is heading towards recovery. Mutual funds in stock accumulate higher profits Mutual funds in stock gained over 15%, being the most profitable the most aggressive mutual funds and the Peruvian package of shares listed in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Similarly, the pension funds managed by the AFP yielded 8.64% in average. The most traded securities are the Chilean with a total of US $9,134,528 (43.98%), followed by the Colombians with US $8,219,346 (39.57%) and the Peruvian with US $3,417,463 (16.45%). $ $ $ $ $ $ $ $ Volume traded through the MILA Infrastructure 2012 $ $ $ $ $ $ - In, 85 operations were carried out through the MILA infrastructure for a total of US $692,881. Colombia represented the highest participation percentage on the operations carried out, with 48.70% (US $337,422), followed by Peru 32.81% (US $227,353) and finally Chile, with 18.49% (US $128,106) over total operations amount. The Chilean species were the higher volume traded in, with an amount of US $494,221 equivalent to 71.33% of shares movement. STOCK MOST TRADED THROUGH THE MILA INFRASTRUCTURE In, the most traded share through the MILA infrastructure was the Chilean Sonda with US $134,006, followed by Falabella, Ripley Corp. Enersis and Preferencial Davivienda.
