1 Framework to increase the quality of the job seekers employment decision Martin Ghisletti 1
2 Literature and research says that. Personenvironment fit (PE fit) is the compatibility between an individual and a work environment that occurs when their characteristics are well matched PE fit perception plays an important role for job satisfaction and hence employment quality and outcome Research shows that job seekers rarely undertake overall calculative comparisons between one s core values and those of the organization Individuals make decisions to adapt their behavior based on perceived fit The use of multiple job information sources is positively related to applicant perceptions of PE fit Selected sources: (Chapman et al., 2005) (KristofBrown et al., 2005) (Edward et al., 2006) (Van Vunren et al., 2008) (KammeyerMueller, 2007) (Saks&Ashford, 1997) 2
