1 Program Directory Improving Lives Innovation Dignity Integrity Hope Action Excellence
2 Message from the President and CEO I d like to take this opportunity to tell you about Mental Health Systems (MHS). Founded in 1978, we are a non-profit organization. We began by providing psychiatric day treatment and alcohol recovery services to adults in North San Diego County. Over the years, MHS has expanded its services to meet growing community needs. Today we operate more than 80 mental health and substance abuse rehabilitation programs throughout Southern and Central California. Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance abuse and behavioral health disorders. Towards realizing this mission, our programs use best-practices to develop treatment protocols. Most of our programs are publicly funded and available to those who cannot afford privately paid services and would be otherwise unable to receive them. As such, they aid the neediest segments of the population. We are committed to providing services in the least restrictive settings that best assure the success of our clients. Our services include a broad range of prevention, early intervention, integrated treatment, diversion and vocational programs. We offer culturally appropriate, client-centered and strengths-based services and programs for children, transition age youth, adults, and families. All MHS services are provided in a client-focused, compassionate manner that underscores our founding values of Integrity, Excellence, Hope, Action, Innovation and Dignity. Our staff are committed to offering compassionate care and treatment, and contribute years of education and expertise to our programs and services. Above all, they genuinely care about others and strive to bring hope and integrity to people s lives. Thank you for your interest in Mental Health Systems. Please don t hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions about our services, values or goals. Sincerely, Kimberly Bond, MFT President and CEO
