4 Chapter 1 Program Introduction Introduction The Master program of Global Business is a comprehensive, industry-relevant degree program designed to take your career progression to the advanced/management level. Students are among a diverse cohort of students (in terms of nationality, culture, language, previous international experience) which enhances student s cross-cultural learning experience and makes the "global" element of this degree real. The course of study for the Master program of Global Business is designed to immerse students in a variety of learning approaches and experiences, including discussion-driven seminars, self-assessment and discovery, team-based projects, consulting engagements, and an innovative discovery to Market project that challenges students to be ready for an actual discovery of commercialization. s: Required s: contain 10 subjects Required Elective s: five majors and 2 credits for each (contain 3 subjects and 9 credits for each major) 1. 8 Chapter 2 Graduation Requirements 1. Fulfill the English requirement for master degree.(refer to Page 4~4) The postgraduate students who enrolled at 103 Academic Year, refers to Spring 2014 and Fall 2014, are expected to reach at TOEIC 700, or equal score of TOFEL and IEITS. You shall submit the relative documents, such as the transcript, to the program/department in the required period for a completed process. 2. Succeed in an oral examination of an academic thesis. Provisions relating to the Thesis Examination (1) Based on the Regulations of Thesis Examination for Master and Ph.D. Degree of PCCU. (2) Other Regulations: 1 Graduate credits from other departments/colleges must be approved by program. 2 Complete 36 credits. 3 Present or publish an article at a Conference or Journal 5

9 Chapter 3- Thesis Examination Process 1. Finding your advisor as soon as possible 2. Turning in your advisory agreement TIME: before the end of your first semester After turning in your advisory agreement 3. complete & submit thesis proposal outline Date for thesis proposal outline submission and completion will be announced on program website Print it out and turn in to program assistant. After submitting your thesis proposal online 4. Thesis Preliminary Examination (the first three chapters of your thesis) After passing your thesis preliminary examination You need to apply for it. Turn in your oral examination committee appointment form. Application Date will be announced on program website. 5. Thesis Examination You need to apply for it online first. Application Date will be announced on program website. Note: 1. Record the discussions with your professor in Meeting Record of Thesis Review 2. Before applying for your thesis examination, you must present/publish an article at a Conference/Journal or provide evidence of your publication. 3. Before conducting your thesis examination, you must complete all the program requirements. 6
