4 Introduction: Market Trends Increasingly, business performance equals application performance. Users relay on applications to reach customers, build products, automate business processes, and perform almost every other business critical task. For IT organizations, application performance and availability are the most visible indicators of success. In 2012, EMA found that 81% of respondents regularly leverage cross-domain teams to tackle and manage application performance.
