The course provides Students with the basic knowledge and concepts of health care financial management theory and practice to enhance financial viability and performance for health care organizations.

3 PAGE 3 COURSE EXPECTATIONS Graduate Students in the School of Public Administration are presumed to be adult learners who are taking PADM 563, Health Care Finance, to improve their leadership capabilities for Health Care Management Roles. Students are expected to regularly attend class on a timely basis, actively participate and contribute to a positive learning enviroment and actively engage in the discussion and presentation of Finance Cases with their Student Team Members, as assigned. Reading of assigned materials will be critical for successful learning. If unusual circumstances require you to miss a class, please send an explanatory E- Mail or Text Message to Professor Aldrich in advance of the class. GRADING SYSTEM Final Grades for PADM 563, Health Care Financial Management, will be based 25% on Participation, 25% Mid- Term Exam and 50% on the Final Exam. Exams will be Essay Questions which will provide the Students the opportunity to demonstrate both learning and integration of knowledge. Participation grades will be strongly influenced by the Student Team Finance Case presentations and discussions.
