1 Course Name and Number: Bachelor of Commerce Online and Face to Face Course Evaluation Questionnaire To assist in continual evaluation and improvement of our courses in RMIT Business, we seek your feedback about your experiences with online courses in the Bachelor of Commerce. You will be asked to complete a separate questionnaire for each online course you are studying. All responses will be treated in the strictest confidence. Only summary results will be reported, and any comments will be quoted anonymously. Instructions: For most questions you only need to check the box for the option you choose. Some questions ask for a written response. There is space at the end of the questionnaire to expand on any question where you feel that your checked response does not give the whole picture. Please do this especially if you give a negative response. You may also comment on any other matter that you feel is relevant. General Information a. 2 The Course Experience This section of the questionnaire examines your experience with the course generally, including content, staffing, and assessment. a. Course Content The course s purpose and objectives were clear The relationship of this course to others was clear The course developed my problem-solving skills The course sharpened my analytic skills I usually had a clear idea of where I was going and what was expected of me The course helped me develop my ability to work as a team member The course improved my skills in written communication As a result of my course, I feel confident about tackling unfamiliar problems b. Staff The teaching staff were knowledgeable in the course area The teaching staff of this course motivated me to do my best work The teaching staff gave me helpful feedback on how I was going The teaching staff worked hard to make the course interesting 2

4 3. The Classroom Experience This section of the questionnaire relates to your experience in the classroom. a. Class organisation There were sufficient opportunities to ask questions The class discussion enhanced my understanding of the concepts in the course Provision for self-directed study was appropriate 4. The Online Experience This section of the questionnaire is restricted to the online courseware and experience, including functionality of the site, presentation of materials and online communication and interactivity. a. Ease of use and functionality It was easy to find my way around the course website Download times were reasonable The screen layout was effective b. Educational content and presentation Organisation of the online materials was logical The online materials were comprehensive The online materials helped me to meet the course objectives I know what was expected of me in each section 4
