6 Removal of the Database Administrator Role Cause Two Cyber Task Orders involving Privileged Users and PII/PIA data SSAE SOC 1 Audit Assessment Result Privileged Users lost the ability to: Query (reports/inquiries) for multiple UICs (they now have to run a query for each specific UIC) Create Administrator Messages Solution DFAS, DISA and CCB Voting proposed a two stage solution: Step 1: Modify the Application Administrator role to allow a search across UICs. Permissions tied to this role are being reviewed and changes may be made Step 2: Modify the reports to be bound by the Application Administrator s UICs and to move the Database Administrator message down to the UIC level so the Application Administrator can set it per UIC Note: Development cannot start before July after the completion of the security release 8/24/2015 Integrity - Service - Innovation 6
7 Cybersecurity Cybersecurity is the new normal. With the recent OPM breach there is an increased effort to protect PII/PIA data (the removal of the Database Administrator Role is an example).
