Federal grants are not federal assistance or loans to individuals. Federal grants are not free money. Federal grants are not easy to get. Federal grants are not, generally, for you to do something you want to do. They are, rather, an offer by the federal government for you to do what the federal government wants done.
Our objective in applying for grants is to: Achieve the goals of Pellissippi State Community College by leveraging grant money available from the federal government, state government and/or private funding agencies, while at the same time doing the work the granting agency requires.

Department of Environment & Conservation Robert Martineau, Commissioner he applicants. Download our fact sheet for anticipated grant cycles: 2012 Grants Fact Land and Water Conservation Funds (LWCF) Gran Recreation Trails Program (RTP): The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is a federal funded, state administered grant program. The RTP provides grant funding for land acquisition for trails, trail maintenance, trail construction, trail rehabilitation and for trail head support facilities. These funds are distributed in the form of an 80% grant with a 20% match. Local, state and federal land managing agencies are eligible to apply as well as state chartered, non-profit organizations with IRS 501 (c) (3) status that have a written agreement for trail management with an agency. All grant projects MUST be on publicly owned land. FY Application period is closed. Funded programs to be announced TBD. Counties and other municipalities received grants totaling $6.9 million to help improve their green spaces while making the great outdoors even more accessible for all to enjoy. Land and Water Conservation Funds (LWCF) Grants The LWCF program provides matching grants to states, and through the state to local governments and state agencies that provide recreation and parks, for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities. Recreation Educational Services administers the LWCF grants. These grants require a 50% match.
Finding Private Foundation Grant Opportunities Your PSCC grants department has paid for subscriptions to Foundationsearch.com And Bigdatabase.com If you have heard that a private company, group, or foundation has a grant program that you think might provide an funding opportunity for Pellissippi, come visit us and we will investigate the opportunity together

Listen Up!!!! How can you help? Through your daily contacts in the community, organizations you belong to, local companies you do business with, and networking with your peers. Does their college have a grant related to your area? Ask them: where their grant is from (federal, state or private) the name of the grant how much the grant is for what activities the grant funds. And share the information with us!!!!
Once an agency releases a Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA), we have between 30 and 60 days to write our application and submit it. Time is a critical factor.
OK, you ve found a grant you want to apply for or learn more about. What s next?
Remember! Grants require space, personnel, or equipment. Some require recipients to continue grant activities after grant funds are used. As such, Dr. Wise and the Vice Presidents need to approve grants to ensure we have the space for faculty and staff. Dr. Wise encourages all of us to help research, develop, write, and administer grants that further the college s mission.
The Grants Office is dependent upon faculty members in every department and division who want to leverage grant funds to improve all aspects of our efforts to successfully graduate students who are prepared to enter the workforce or transfer to Office four-year institutions. The Grant Development in the Foundation Department is here to assist you in obtaining private, state and federal grants.
Make an appointment with the Grants Department to discuss the grant you want to apply for or just stop by our offices in Goins Building 203 F, E, or G. Les Fout , Dave Cazalet , Sharmon Suit ,
