How is HIP different from ordinary car insurance packages: HIP gives you the pay-back you deserve Compared to ordinary car insurance packages, HIP has less limiting claim terms. For the first 5 years, HIP covers 100% of your Sum Insured in the event of total loss or theft. Comprises of a trusted panel of insurers HIP is designed in collaboration with some of the most trusted insurers in the country, namely MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd, Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad, Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad and Uni Asia General Insurance Berhad. This plan covers you, your passengers and the expenses incurred after an accident. Car Insurance With HIP, traditional terms and conditions which limit your protection have been re-written to provide you with a minimum-risk, maximum peace-of-mind experience. 1) Coverage of loss for first 5 years In the event of Theft & Total Loss, the claims applicable are as per the scale below: (based on Purchase Price) (For 2nd to 5th Year Sum Insured is based on recommended ISM Valuation price) 2) No premium loading HIP guarantees that there will not be a premium loading be applied at the discretion of the HIP Insurance Panel only IF insurance claims have been made two times or more from the same policy. 3) No policy excess in the event of loss In the event of an accident, NO excess will apply for any repair work except for Compulsory Excess. This applies when the driver involved is: a) Not a named driver b) Holder of L license 4) No Betterment This advantage applies to all Honda vehicles distributed by means, you will not be charged for any new franchise parts changed or replaced except for wear and tear parts. 5) Speedy claim approval process just hear from us sooner than expected. With HIP, we do what we can to speed up your claim approvals so that repair works can commence sooner, and your recovery process too. Note: In order to enjoy No Betterment and speedy claim approval, vehicles must be repaired at Honda Authorised B&P Dealers or Honda Panel Insurers Workshops. 3 4

4 Car Insurance Note: The HIP policy excludes the following: own death or bodily injury, liability against claim from your passengers; theft of non-factory fitted vehicle accessories unless otherwise declared; consequential loss, depreciation, wear & tear, mechanical or technical breakdown failures; loss/damage arising from an act of nature (e.g. flood, landslide). Kindly refer to policy documents for more info. The above benefits and services are subject to eligibility and acceptance by Honda s panel of licensed insurers. It will automatically cease if the insurance policy lapses for any reason whatsoever. The above benefits and services will also be terminated if you are found by the HIP Call Centre (in its sole discretion) to be abusing its services. The Honda Insurance Package is arranged/underwritten by Honda s panel of licensed insurers comprising MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd (46983-W), Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad ( U), Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad (62605-U) and Uni Asia General Insurance (16688-K). Insurance coverage is subject to the standard motor insurance policy terms and conditions and tariff rates. Honda Malaysia is not an agent of the licensed insurers. 5 6

5 Reliable and speedy assistance when you need it most Emergency Assistance In the event of emergencies, rest assured that help is on the way, wherever you may be. Just call the HIP Call Centre at and we will take care of the rest for you. The hotline is available 24 hours a day. Here are the Emergency Assistance offered with HIP: 1) 24-Hour HIP Call Centre Free Towing & Roadside Repair Services In case of a breakdown or accident, you are just a phone call away from road assistance. Should towing be required, your car will be brought to the nearest Honda Panel Insurers' Workshop. HIP will bear the towing costs up to a maximum of RM All toll charges and cost of spare parts (in the case of roadside repair) are to be borne by the member involved. 2) Car Rental Assistance A temporary car can be arranged at a cost borne by the member. 3) Arrangement for Hotel Accommodation Should the need arise, our Call Centre can also locate the nearest hotel and make a reservation for you. 4) Emergency Message Transmissions You may need to get in touch with loved ones to let them know that you are safe. If you cannot reach them, we will gladly help to inform them for you. 5) Honda Panel Insurers Workshops** These workshops have been inspected by Honda Malaysia and are required to comply with Honda s standards - thus, ensuring the highest quality of restoration and repair works. The parts and workmanship come with a 6-month or 10,000km service warranty, whichever comes first. **Members have the right to appoint any PIAM authorised workshop of their choice if they wish 7 8

Medical Referral and Arrangement of Medical Appointments Upon your request, the HIP Call Centre will arrange for appointments with physicians, hospitals or even dentists. 2. Despatch of Medication Which Are Not Available Locally Should you have problems obtaining a prescription which is not available locally, we can assist in having them sent over to you. 3. Medical Evacuation/Repatriation Upon receiving approval from your treating doctor/physician, we can arrange for a hospital transfer to one that is closer to home. 4. Medically-Supervised Repatriation A medically-supervised transfer to the next best hospital can also be arranged, if your current hospital s facility is inadequate to cater to your medical condition. Return of Children Travelling with the Member In the event that you are hospitalised and unable to care for your children, HIP Call Centre is able to arrange for their safe return home. 4. Location of Lost Items Lost a luggage, document or personal item in transit? No worries, we are here to lend a hand. 5. Legal Referral With HIP, we can also refer you to local legal advisors should you need legal assistance while on a trip. 6. Referral to Interpreter/Translator At times of emergencies, we can refer you to a local translator to ease the entire process. 7. Home Assist Services For members residing in the Klang Valley, HIP can even provide referrals for home repair services such as plumbing, electrical wiring and more! 8. Other Lifestyle Services All services shall be provided purely on a referral arrangement and coordination basis within Malaysia only. We may not be able to avoid the unforeseen from happening. But when it does happen, it is good to know that a plan like HIP Car Personal Accident (PA) Coverage offers deserving reimbursements, comfort and peace-of-mind when you need it most

8 OPTIONAL COVERAGE Why should you opt for personal accident coverage: Personal Accident Coverage 1) It Covers Death or Permanent Disability a) The plan covers death or permanent disability whilst driving, riding as a passenger, boarding or alighting from the vehicle. 2) Enjoy Medical Reimbursement a) The plan also covers medical and hospital expenses up to RM1,250 for Plan 1 and up to RM1,800 for Plan 2 per person. 3) Car Rental Reimbursement and Car Allowance a) In the event of an accident, we will: - reimburse your Car Rental from a licensed car rental company up to the amount of the plan applied for OR, - pay Car Allowance up to the amount of the plan applied for (when car rental is not taken up) b) Optional cover extension up to 20 days is available c) Car Rental Reimbursement and Car Allowance are not payable for the first two (2) days while your vehicle is under repair d) Car must be sent to Honda Authorised B&P Dealers or Honda Panel Insurers Workshops within seven (7) days from the day of the accident e) Car Rental Reimbursement or Car Allowance applies to one accident claim only f) Reinstatement of cover is subject to additional premium 4) Hotel Accommodation Reimbursement a) In the event of an accident, we will reimburse you for the Hotel Accommodation up to the amount of the plan applied for, provided: i. The Hotel must be the one nearest to the site of the accident ii. The accident site must be more than 100km away from the registered address in the policy iii. The car must be immobilised after the accident b) Hotel reimbursement applies to one accident claim only c) Reinstatement of cover is subject to additional premiums 5) Coverage for Loss of Contents a) The plan also covers loss of contents in the car, arising from an accident. This is a special benefit developed to protect your belongings

Info Note: The PA policy excludes the following: war and related risks; Government Regulations or Acts or Authorities; hazardous sports including parachuting, hang gliding, mountaineering, potholing or rock climbing; suicide, self-inflicted injury or willful exposure to peril; pregnancy, childbirth, physical or mental defect or infirmity; AIDS, AIDS-related complex or sexually-transmitted disease; influence of alcohol unless alcohol was not a factor contributing to the happening of the injury; vehicle used for racing, speed-testing, hire, road-rallying; accidents outside the Territorial Limit/Geographical Area; drivers who do not hold a valid driver s license; acts of terrorism.
