1 Pre-Approved Courses for Dual Enrollment Students The following lists are adapted from Preview (the UF new student orientation program). They include General Education courses that can be considered appropriate for dual enrollment students, as long as they meet the pre-requisites, if any. DE students may access the comprehensive Schedule of Courses( for additional course options; however other courses will be subject to approval by the DE advisor. All courses a DE student intends to take will need to appear on their advising form. There is no way to know prior to your registration session if a particular course will fit your schedule or have seats available. Therefore, be sure to identify several alternatives for each course you plan on taking in your first term. Courses are listed alphabetically by department and with the following information: Course prefix and number first (e.g. CPO 2001 ). The course title appears next (e.g. Comparative Politics ). After the course title, the number of credits the course is worth is shown in parentheses (e.g. (3) ). Any additional requirements the course meets are listed after the number of credits and in bold (e.g. General Education International: GE-N, or Gordon Rule Writing: GR: 6 for a 6,000 word Writing course). The name of the department that offers the course is listed last. If you want to look a course up in the Schedule of Courses, you must do so by department (e.g. Political Science ) Example: CPO 2001 Comparative Politics (3), GE-N, Political Science o Note that the General Education requirements for the following courses fulfill general education requirements at the University of Florida. They are subject to approval by your guidance counselor for high school credit. For the Dual Enrollment Equivalency list visit o Information regarding all of the courses listed below is subject to change.
