8 ResMed Healthcare Informatics Evolution ResMed was the first sleep apnea company to launch a telemonitoring program for sleep apnea devices in 2004 ResMed acquired Umbian in 2012, adding a rules based processing engine and automated patient outreach technology to the system ResMed added diagnostic capabilities into AirView, connecting the patient pathway from diagnosis to therapy in 2014 ResMed acquired Caretouch and Jaysec in 2015 adding digital prescription management and resupply to the portfolio ResMed s healthcare informatics system AirSolutions will add well over 1 million new connected healthcare devices under daily monitoring to the digital health ecosystem 8
