3 UNIVERSITY OVERVIEW ANDERSONVILLE THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY M.C.C. Master of Christian Counseling D.C.C. Doctorate of Christian Counseling Andersonville Baptist Seminary is located in Camilla, Georgia. The school currently has over 6,000 students enrolled from all 50 states and 15 foreign countries. The Seminary allows Bible students to complete their degree work without having to leave the field of service. ABS is accredited by the Accrediting Commission International (ACI). ACI accredits over 200 colleges, seminaries, and Christian schools. For over fifteen years, ABS has been recognized as a quality Bible seminary, maintaining conservative values and teaching. ABS is a Certified Academic Institution with the National Christian Counselors Association (N.C.C.A.) and uses their counseling program and materials for all ABS degrees in Christian Counseling. 4 CENTRAL CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY Central Christian University is headquartered in Lexington, North Carolina, but operates several extension campuses in the United States and many foreign countries. Counseling Bachelors Of Christian Counseling Master Of Clinical Christian Counseling Doctor Of Clinical Christian Counseling Ph.D. Central Christian University has been declared by the appropriate authority in the State of North Carolina, to have satisfied the criteria for the statutes of a religious degree-granting institution, under provisions of statute G.S (d). Central Christian University is accredited by the Association of Colleges and Theological Seminaries and is an N.C.C.A. Certified Academic Institution. All students majoring in counseling must successfully complete N.C.C.A. s criteria for licensing. University Overview ~ 4

5 CHESAPEAKE BIBLE COLLEGE & SEMINARY M.C.C. Master of Christian Counseling D.P.C Doctor of Pastoral Counseling D.C.C. Doctor of Christian Counseling The main campus for C.B.C.S. is located in Ridgely, Maryland. The college was first established in 1977 and presently has several hundred graduates. The Maryland Higher Education Commission certifies that C.B.C.S. satisfies all of the criteria for the status of a religious degree granting institution as set forth in Section I-202 of the Education Article. C.B.C.S. is accredited by the Accrediting Commission International (A.C.I.) and is an approved Certified Academic Institution for the N.C.C.A. This college REQUIRES all graduates to attend annual graduation ceremonies held in Maryland. University Overview ~ 5

Doctor of Christian Counseling Ph.D. in Clinical Pastoral Counseling Th.D. in Christian Counseling Colorado Theological Seminary is located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The C.T.S. mission is to offer affordable, accredited, non-denominational Christian degree programs worldwide by distance learning. Colorado Theological Seminary (CTS) is authorized to operate in the state of Colorado under Colorado s Authorization Act ( et seq., C.R.S.). C.T.S. is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges and Theological Seminaries, as noted in the Library of Congress (Tx ). ACI serves over 270 schools in over thirty-five states and five countries. Colorado Theological Seminary is proud to be an Affiliate Institution with the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). The ABHE, formerly The Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges, is a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and US Department of Education recognized accrediting group who serve C.T.S. through their Affilate Program. Affiliate Institutions are not accredited by the ABHE. C.T.S. is, however, in the process of acquiring this accreditation. Colorado Theological Seminary is a Certified Academic Institution with the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA), the largest educational and training association of Christian counselors in the world. C.T.S. has parternerd with the National Conservative Christian Church (NCCC) to offer students and graduates a ministerial credentialing, church covering and accountability program. 7 CORNERSTONE UNIVERSITY A.A. B.A. M.A. Ph.D. in Christian Education in Christian Counseling The main campus for this school is located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. However, they have several campuses throughout the United States. Cornerstone University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission International (A.C.I.) and is a Comprehensive Member with honor. This is the highest possible status available through the A.C.I. Cornerstone University provides classroom instruction and utilizes N.C.C.A. s counseling program for any and all distance education students who are majoring in counseling. University Overview ~ 7

8 FAMILY BIBLE INSTITUTE, COLLEGE & SEMINARY M.A. Ph.D. The main campus for this school is located in Baltimore, Maryland. However, Family Bible Institute, College & Seminar has several extension schools throughout the United States, as well as internationally. The Maryland Higher Education Commission certifies that the Family Bible Institute, College & Seminary satisfies all of the criteria for the status of a religious degree-granting institution as set forth in Section I-202 of the Education Article. Accredited Institution with the American Accrediting Association of Teological Institutions, Inc. Certified Higher Education Institution with the Evangelical Training Association (ETA). ETA is a nationally-recognized agency for the promotion of higher standards for Christian teachers and church educators. The Family Bible Institute, College & Seminary utilizes N.C.C.A. s counseling program for any and all students who are majoring in counseling. University Overview ~ 8

9 JACKSONVILLE THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY M.A. Ph.D. The main campus for this school is located in Jacksonville, Florida, however, this is a very large college and they have campuses in over 50 cities. Jacksonville Theological Seminary is accredited by the National Accrediting Association in Washington, D.C. In addition, they are in the candidate status with the Accrediting Commission International (A.C.I.) and expect to be fully accredited by A.C.I. in the very near future. J.T.S provides classroom instruction and degree programs through distance education (home study). This school utilizes N.C.C.A. s curriculum for any and all students who are majoring in counseling. 10 PILLSBURY COLLEGE & SEMINARY Pillsbury College & Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, was established in 1991 FreeWay Foundation, a Christian educational ministry, originally established in Pillsbury offers on-campus and dsitance learning undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biblical Counseling, Biblical Studies, Christian Couunseling Psychology, Expository Studies, and Christian Theology.
