They must take 2 CSSW electives in order to earn enough credits. If there is no required economics course in the student s program at Mailman, then they are required to complete the 2 economic course sequence at CSSW. Dual-degree students are required to fulfill the SIPA and Social Work core requirements outlined below. For further information on the MPA degree requirements, please see the SIPA Curriculum and Faculty Bulletin, published each year. For a list of courses that fulfill core requirements, please refer to the SIPA Registration Guide produced at the beginning of each semester. SOCIAL WORK AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS Students enrolled in the International Affairs program receive a valuable base in both social work education, international politics and economics. Students increase and enhance their professional skills by uniting theoretical and client-based instruction in the social services and academic preparation in U.S. and international social policies and programs.
