6 Smart metering (AMS) in Norway All metering points in Norway shall have AMS by 2019 CBA made in 2007 Correct billing and settlement based on actual consumption Better basis for grid investments decisions Additional services DSOs now report that they have previously underestimated their benefits from smart metering

7 Current status for AMS DSOs are responsible for the rollout and secure operation Many DSOs cooperate on procurement and management of AMS Most DSOs have finalized procurement Currently there are three meter vendors Main deployment years: (70% of scope)

16 What next? NVE har innført nye regler som gjør at alle kraftleverandører kan tilby én felles faktura for strøm og nettleie. Den nye ordningen, som vi har kalt gjennomfakturering, betyr at strømkundene enkelt kan velge kraftleverandør uten å måtte gå fra en til to fakturaer. I dag er det i praksis kun strømkunder som velger kraftleverandør med selskapsmessig tilknytning til nettselskapet, som får alt på én faktura. 16
