5 Smart Tracking (PTZ only) Smart Tracking is an innovative technology for Smart PTZ cameras, which increases the effectiveness of the video surveillance system, especially in locations where the occasional presence of people or vehicles requires special attention, such as at bank vaults, hotel corridors, parking garages, office buildings and schools, etc., after working hours or during night time. With this function, when a moving object (a person, vehicle, etc.) enters a monitored area, Smart PTZ cameras can automatically detect it and adjust their focal length to track the object. To change the target during tracking, users need to simply click on the new target in the view screen. Hikvision Smart Tracking employs a target contour discriminant and human face detection technology that ensures that the target always stays in the middle of the picture during tracking. The Smart Tracking feature realizes the goal of unmanned video surveillance, and offers a single Smart PTZ camera the ability to cover a wider range of area for more comprehensive information. As a result, it boosts security and radically reduces the number of cameras needed. With the Rotate Mode, Smart IPC cameras can turn 90 to maximize the pixel usage and the whole scene/definition ratio. EIS - Electronic Image Stabilisation technology allows Smart IPC cameras to compensate blurry effects caused by camera shake and always obtain stable images. The Smart IPC Box cameras adopt the most advanced iris control technology, P Iris, which allows keeping an accurate and consistent sharpness and depth of view. WDR Onboard Storage The WDR/ DWDR function is intended to provide clear image performance in strong backlight areas such as exterior light coming through a window or glass door. Onboard storage is the concept of taking the video from a camera instead of transporting it across the network to a video recorder. It offers a convenient and portable storage option to prevent data loss in case of network disconnection. Privacy Mask IP66 This allows for masking out certain areas of the live picture which are not relevant to surveillance. HLC (Highlight Compensation) reduces the brightness of blinding light sources. Very effective for recognizing vehicles license plate numbers at night, HLC can detect any spot light and compensate it to obtain a clear image. Compared to traditional DNR technology, 3D DNR reduces noise effects, especially when capturing moving images in lowlight conditions to deliver accurate and sharp image quality. BLC - Backlight Compensation Cooling / Heating BLC (Back Light Compensation) provides perfect exposure adjustment for compensating strong back light. It therefore brings more detail to darker areas of an image when bright light shining from behind obscures it. Hikvision Speed Dome Smart PTZ cameras have double-layer aluminum housing for better insulation and cooling performance. The cameras also include a thermostatic control which can automatically control the function of heater and fan allowing operating temperatures from -40 to +65.
