1 ISS Cruise Services South America / Ports information Manual Edition 2008 Page 210 of 286 LOGISTIC SUGGESTIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS BRAZIL Based on ISS Brazil experience and Brazilian regulations, here below are some important points to be considered for Crew, Staff & cargo handling into Brazil. 1. Crew, Officers staff and Entertainers handling 12. Our Head Office in Rio de Janeiro concentrates all corporate and operational correspondences for all Brazilian Ports and that includes all port agency requirements for passenger vessels. All correspondence should therefore be addressed to Head Office in Rio de Janeiro. 13. Office Hours both in Rio de Janeiro and Manaus Monday to Friday 0800h through 1730h 14. Passengers Disembarking The clearance of disembarking passengers will be done upon arrival at first Brazilian Port and then at the airport so you will be able to deliver all passports to the guests before they depart the ship. 16. Passengers Embarking The only requirement for embarking passengers is to have a valid tourist visa for Brazil if the nationality requires one. 17. Passengers in Transit All passengers entering Brazil must fill out an immigration landing card. This is to be requested by the ship well in advance to ensure the ship pulls into the first Brazilian port with all forms filled out. The Agent will then forward the number of cards necessary to meet the ship abroad prior to departure to Brazil. 18. Passengers can go ashore using the vessels ID card. Immigration Authorities will require all passports to be collected and kept by the purser s office. VISA (for nationalities requiring such) is required for any passengers in transit at Brazilian Ports. 19. Entertainers without temporary work visa type 5 (necessary for all citizenships) are not supposed to be working. The application process for obtaining the temporary work visa type 5 is quite lengthy. It takes about 5 weeks and costs around US$ 650. Entertainers must be stated on a STAFF LIST, when holding a visa.

2 ISS Cruise Services South America / Ports information Manual Edition 2008 Page 211 of Crew Embarking disembarking and in transit All crew members sailing within Brazilian waters must have a valid seaman s book and-or a valid temporary work visa type 5 in order to comply with the Immigration Formalities in force. Those without a seaman s book MUST have a temporary work visa type 5. Failure in complying with this will lead to heavy fines imposed by Immigration. 21. The Agency will provide in case of necessity an Invitation Letter that will be sent by fax to the Embassy or Consulate. The company must request in advance this letter by sending an or fax including all the crew s data and flight details. These details are required for the implementation of the appropriate formalities. 22. It is imperative that all crew embarking or disembarking are escorted by the agent to-from the airport in order to carry out the appropriate clearance with Immigration and Customs. Ships ID card will allow crew in transit to go ashore. 23. As soon as the Names and flights details are known, the crew operator will inform ISS who will meet them at airport on arrival. In order to avoid delays, we need to have in hands the minimum information, as follows: - Complete name - Date of birth - Nationality - Passport number - Rank (position onboard) - Flight details - Rank of Hotel 2/3/4 start if requested 24. In case of no show at the airport, then the crew operator will advise ISS immediately in order to cancel all the arrangements such as transport, hotel reservations, etc., otherwise charges will be applied (no show, etc). 25. Luggage Allowance is clearly of 40kgs for seafarers flying seafarer reduced tariff. It is very common that off signers take home a considerable number of heavy pieces of luggage. We would like to inform you that airlines in Brazil are supposed to collect overweight charges straight from the customer, either in cash or credit card. 26. It is very important that ISS be informed of extra or special baggage, weight, volume, etc. (i.e. entertainment equipment), in order to arrange special transport, care in domestic and international flights. 27. Our personnel at the airport will be duly identified, nevertheless in order to avoid any problem it is highly recommendable to give an emergency card together with the air ticket, containing all our phone contacts and names (attached card sample). 28. Regarding hotel services it will be important to know if the person will be authorized to make telephone calls or require full hotel services, or just accommodation and meals. 29. Upon arrival at the airport, an Immigration landing card will be filled out and handed over to the Immigration officer together with the passport. This is applicable to all nationalities, without exception, for those flying under a valid passport. Crew entering the country on a seaman s book do not require to fill out the immigration form. The front page will be stamped and retained by the immigration

The second and last copy must be kept by the passport holder so that it is returned to the immigration officer upon final departure from the country. 30. In the case that ISS is required to assist passengers, it will be important to know in advance the conditions, payment responsibilities & services which ISS will be authorized to deliver them. 31. If passenger requests that ISS arrange any kind of transfer and then request to charge to vessel account, ISS WILL BE OBLIGATED TO REQUEST SOME OFFICIAL AUTHORIZATION FM SHIP 32. The Brazilian airport administration (INFRAERO) charges US$ 36 per passenger upon boarding. Airlines collect it from the passenger only in cash (Brazilian REAIS, American Dollars and EUROS). Credit cards are not accepted. Prepaid Tickets Advice (PTA) only contains the airfare. The airport tax is not included. So crew members or passengers disembarking from ships and going to the airport to collect a PTA must be sure they have US$ 36 in cash on them to pay the airline. It is the passenger who must pay the tax to the airline. 11 ISS Cruise Services South America / Ports information Manual Edition 2008 Page 220 of Handling of Spare Parts, cargoes and Containers Instructions when forwarding goods to the ship: 1) All goods must be addressed to THE MASTER OF MV C/O ISS Marine Services Ltda Rua Sao Bento, 09 4 andar phone fax PIC Luciano Oliveira da Silva 2) Never use courier companies because they are not supposed to deliver goods to the ships. They will deliver it in our office and then taxation will apply, in some cases close to 75% of the declared value of the goods. 3) Never use cargo consolidators because your clearance will depend upon the cargo documents of other cargoes. If there is a single mistake, the whole shipment is stuck. 4) Use regular commercial airlines and Master airway bills. No house airway bills please (consolidation) 5) Always state on the awb as final destination the name of the Port. Example > If the ship is in Rio de Janeiro, please state on the awb the Final destination as Rio de Janeiro. Reason being, most cargo flights land in Sao Paulo first. 6) Do not abbreviate or codify the description of goods. Ensure full description is written on the commercial invoices and packing lists 7) Please fax us copies of the awb and commercial invoices and packing lists prior to effecting the shipment so that we can bat an eye on them and advise whether any corrections need to be made. Originals must be sent to us for clearance, signed and stamped by either shipper or manufacturer. 8) Allow 3 working days for clearance and delivery 9) Please ensure weight and number of pieces is accurate. Weights must preferably be in KILOS and currency must preferably be in EUROS or AMERICAN DOLLARS. 10) There is a lengthy list of foodstuff, medicines and chemical products precluded from entering Brazil, even in transit to ships. Please check with us prior to shipping. 11) State on the awb SHIPS STORES IN TRANSIT.
