2 Dear Potential Trader, At the heart of well being, is control! If you are not in control of your life, someone else is. You are responding to some one else s agenda. You are working to their priorities, fixing their problems, handling their mess, making them money. If YOU want more money then you could change jobs, but how hard and expensive would it be to change your career? Most of the time it is totally out of the question. In your busy life with a Job (if you re lucky), family, perhaps children there are simply not enough hours in the day to think about studying, let alone energy and money. Sadly the cost of education these days is massively expensive. So how are you going to change? What if I told you that you could grab all the knowledge you needed, to create a new career trading Forex (Foreign Exchange) in a couple of days? I will repeat that, you can learn new skills to build a new career in JUST 2 days. The purpose of this report is to prove to you, that it is possible. Anyone who makes claims like this must be checked out. Never just take someone s word for it, demand proof. Who is Marcus de Maria? I have been trading since 1999, and I am a perpetual tester. My passion is teaching wealth creation. I am an author of a book titled the wealth workout, I am the co-lead presenter with T Harv Eker on his Millionaire Mind Intensive seminars, and I have been featured in a wealth documentary on the BBC, and in national newspapers. I have bought and studied all the Stocks and Forex trading education courses that I can get my hands since It has cost me personally in excess of $100,000. My team of traders help me test all of the strategies that are taught in these courses. 2

3 The strategies we stick with and trade must have the following minimum characteristics, they must be simple to understand very low risk provide consistent profits and have a proven track record If even one of the above criteria is missing, then that strategy will be dumped. In all of my trading years, the most money I have made, in the shortest time, with the least effort and the lowest risk has been trading the Forex markets. Why? Because of speed! Very often, you are in a Forex trade for as little as 10 minutes up to a couple of hours. Compare this to the stock market, where you can be in a trade for 4 to 6 weeks. I am in a good place currently. I have a team of traders, trading my money for me, making me passive income using my strategies. This releases me to test and develop new strategies and to pursue my mission in life which is teaching people how to do the same as me. But let s get back to you. Being in control of your life is the most important element of feeling good. However most people s reality is they work for someone else in a job. What is work? You exchange hours for pay. Someone tells you what to do. Someone tells you when to do it. You have little or no flexibility. You don t have the final say when you take your holidays. Someone decides how much money you can earn. Someone decides your pay rise each year, if any. In summary you are not in control. It s time to open your mind and see what possibilities surround you. 3

4 What if instead YOU could decide how much money you make, when you start work, when you finish work, what clothes you wear, and where you work. You can earn a full time income trading part time you decide. However this wasn t always the case for me when I started. I paid to attend seminars where there was no follow up support, there were so many people in the room that there was no way that I could ask questions and often I left with more questions than answers. Despite this, I persevered and struggled through. There was a time when I was consistently losing money, then there was a time when I consistently broke even, and finally I figured it out, now I consistently making money. It took many years before I was making money on a consistent basis, and my goal is to shorten your journey so that you don t have to go through all my pain. I want to offer you my blueprint, and get you into profit faster. I remember early on, a discussion I had with a professional trader. He said Marcus you probably know more than me about the Stock Market. But I have one advantage; I know how to make money! And that hit me like a brick. What was the outcome? Changing Jobs Simple I focused on making money! You could make more money by changing jobs, but at what cost? How long does it take to learn to become a vet? Perhaps 7+ years and well over 70,000. It s the same for a doctor! I am going to let you into a massive secret, as a doctor or a vet you have to accumulate a vast amount of knowledge because you have no idea what you are going to encounter in your career. That s why Doctors and Vets need great memories. 4

5 How many strategies do you need to make money in Forex all of them? No! That is my job. You just need ONE strategy, but you need to apply it repeatedly! How will that shorten your learning phase? Massively! In our Forex workshop, we focus on just 3 strategies. That s why you can learn what you need to learn To Make Money, in just 2 days. Are there more strategies? Yes, loads, but that doesn t matter. All you need are 3 proven strategies and you will fly! With these 3 strategies, you can apply them part time and prove to yourself that they work. Then you can build your pot and compound your growth until eventually you are financially independent and you can finally SACK YOUR BOSS! These strategies are extremely simple. If you have been abroad, exchanged pounds for euros or dollars, come back after your holiday and exchanged the money back to pounds, then you understand enough about how exchanging currencies works. That is all we do as Forex traders. The only difference is why and when you exchange the currency and how long you hang on to that money before converting it back. So now you have a Choice. You can choose to explore how trading works, or you can accept your current situation. I want to go back to a statement and reiterate the question - why Forex? Forex Made Me Personally the Most Amount of Money, in the Fastest Possible Time with the Least Amount of Effort and the Least Risk. When most people think about trading, risk is what springs to mind. How do we know this? Because we have trained thousands of people and when we talk to them that is what they tell us. 5

6 You don t want to lose your money! Here is a scary fact: What You Focus Will Become Your Reality. Ask any golfer if you focus on Don t hit the ball in the lake where does it go? YES you re right! Most people don t understand the power of focus! Victor Hansen has a tremendous books on focus. Like the golf ball, if you focus on failure i.e. risk, then what you focus on will be your reality. I recommend that you become open to learning. Learn how to reduce your risk, and then focus on the strategies that will make you the money. Trading Forex is Simple, but trading takes discipline. Reducing your risk is just applying stop losses (orders that sell your trades when things go wrong), but you must have the discipline to apply these stop losses every time, and you need to know what stop loss to set. This stuff IS simple! Anyone can do this with the right knowledge and the right support afterwards Go find a mirror, look at it, and say Marcus is talking to ME! I can do this, I am an anyone! If you want ANOTHER reason why trading Forex is a good idea, in the UK using a spread betting platform, any profits you make are TAX Free. Yes! All profits are TAX Free. Does it work for others? Earlier in this report I suggested that you shouldn t accept what I say without demanding proof. I would now like to introduce you to my first apprentice, Avi. 6

7 Avi attended one of my wealth webinars at the age of 19. He was unhappy at college and feeling down on life. 4 years later, he is a full time trader, trading my money, my family s money, his money and his family s money. When I say full time, he trades roughly 5 hours per day. As you can see, everyday is dress down Friday for Avi. To prove that my strategies worked, I gave Avi some of my money. Would you give someone with Homer Simpson slippers 10,000 to trade for you? How did he get on? He made 457% returns on the year. At this point, I must disclaim that these results are not typical results, they are just Avi s results- you might do more, and you might do less. The important thing is proof. If a 19 year old college drop out can do this, then someone else could do this, and that person could be you. All you need is be open to the possibility. So am I happy with the results? Some one turning my 10,000 into 54,000 for me in a year? Yes, of course! 7

8 Ok so it worked for Avi, and it has worked for my students that have consistently taken action, but the more important question is: Could trading be for you? The answer is YES trading is for you, but the real question should be, which strategy suits your lifestyle. The more time you put in, the more money you will make. I understand that you may not yet be ready to trade full time. Trading and Investing is just one more channel to create massive wealth, you owe it to yourself to explore whether it is for you. You might be thinking What is the Difference between trading and investing? Investing is long term and needs less attention, whereas Trading is more short term but produces much bigger returns. Trading might take you from 20 minutes per day to say 5 hours per day, you choose. But isn t that just changing one job for another? Well kind of, but this job has much better terms and conditions and I am guessing that 5 hours is probably a lot less time than you are spending in your current job right now. If you saved 3 hours per day, you would get back 8 full working days per month. What would you do with that time? Another example of someone living the dream is my brother. He is on a world tour. He called me the other day and said I m doing it, I am actually trading from the beech in the evening until my batteries run out. Sadly that can be 8 hours with a Mac! 8

9 Recession Proof Another great feature of Forex is that trading is Recession proof. You can make money even when the markets go down. If you did know that - are you doing it? Because there is a huge difference between knowing and doing! A man that knows and does nothing is no better off than a man that doesn t know. Another amazing feature of trading the Forex market is liquidity, which is a measure of how quickly you can free up your cash. Is there a customer waiting to buy right now? In the Forex market, the answer is ALWAYS yes! Compare this to my friends that own property in Spain. Can they get out when they want to? No! In Forex, you just click a couple of buttons and 2 seconds later, you are out! You can get out at any time the market is liquid. You are in control, It s exciting and it s fun. The better you get, the more money you make. But what if it took you twice as long as someone else to learn all this stuff. Suppose it took you 4 days to learn instead of 2? SO WHAT! You will have this for ever! What if it took you 2 months to learn? You will have these skills for life! You can teach this to your family, to your friends, and to your children. You can even create Inter generational wealth Is it for you? Maybe! Just be open to see if it could be. 9

10 Market Volatility Before we get onto the strategies, we need to address some mind set issues. When the TV News features Currency Market Volatility, what do you feel? Do you think risk? Do you think billions of dollars of losses? All Volatility means is the exchange rate moves a lot!. I will repeat THE EXCHANGE RATE MOVES A LOT Since you can trade and make money when the price goes up and when the price goes down, the more the price goes up and down, the more opportunities you have to make money remember, you can short the market (make money when prices fall) whereas most fund managers can t! Volatility means that you have the chance to trade several times per day. Opening Hours One interesting feature of the Forex market is their opening hours. You can trade the Forex markets in the evening, at lunch time or before work, in fact 24 hours a day except weekends. Over 4 Trillion dollars is traded every day, and the market is 40 times bigger than the stock market. Pre 1989, the market was closed to you and me. It was available only to the biggest institutions and countries. But after that date, with the development of the internet, came the opportunity for you to set out your stall in the same market place as the financial giants. Imagine going into a market place alongside the wealthiest traders on the planets like banks, countries, and financial institutions. To get wealthy, you need to be where the wealth is! Remember, if you have travelled and changed currencies, then you have already traded currencies. The only difference is that you will do this in a bigger way online. 10

11 You can trade when market prices go up and when they go down. 1) Buy Low and Sell High - make a profit. 2) Short Sell High and Buy Back Low make a profit. With both of these trades you buy when the prices are low, and sell when the prices are high. In the 2 nd trade, your are selling first before you buy. But Marcus How can I sell something that I don t have? Your broker will lend you the currency for short selling. Within your online trading account, there are only 4 buttons buy, sell, short sell, buy back. The City boys are worried that you will find out how easy this is to do, and cut them out! What do the city boys do? They trade your money, and they get paid a commission whether they make you money or lose you money. At the end of the day, they will provide you with a brokers report. If they lose your money, all they will say is sorry it was the market. The chances of them losing your money are higher than if you trade your money, because most fund managers don t have the tools that you have. They can t short a trade and they can t hedge. When you hear new words, like hedging and shorting, you might start to get a feeling of overwhelm, that maybe this is too complicated or I ll never be able to do this! STOP! You will get this. It is not tricky. You just have to stick with me. Let me ask you a question. Do you use a cell phone? Do you know how it works? Do you need to know how something works before you can use it? Do you use a TV clicker? Do you know how that works? Can you just accept that you press buttons and something happens! 11

12 Well it is exactly the same with trading Forex. You have 4 buttons on a website (your Brokers online account) to buy and sell a trade, you have a box to say how much money to exchange and a drop down box that says buy immediately, or buy later when the exchange rate has reached a certain level. That s all you need to know. Like the phone and the TV clicker, press buttons and get results. The Sleepless Giant Forex is a market that only sleeps at weekends. This is great for you, because it means that you can make money anytime. You trade at your convenience, when it suits you. This means you also decide how much money you want to earn. It is a market of unlimited opportunity. No matter how much you trade, you will never get close to affecting the 4 trillion dollars that are traded every day. For instance if you place a trade for 10,000 and leverage it 100 to 1 (Did I tell you that you can leverage your money when you trade Forex?) so effectively you are making a 1m trade. If you make 2% in 20 minutes, how much have you made? 20,000! Is this possible? Yes Would I recommend it to beginners? NO! So how does leverage work? When you place a trade, the broker software calculates the risk. If you set a stop loss of 1%, then on a 1,000 trade, your risk is just 10. Your broker needs you to deposit the risk money i.e. 10 plus a little bit. Hence you are trading 1,000, but only putting in 10. Your money is leveraged. Try getting 100 to 1 leverage in the property market now. You will be lucky to get more than 4 to 1 currently. To trade 1m, you only need 10,000 though please don t even think about that yet. Remember I am all about risk management and you are only just reading the Forex highway code book, you haven t yet stepped into the Forex car. Since we are on the subject of risk management, in my book I talk about multiple streams of income. The most common streams are your job, setting up a business, internet websites, property and trading. 12

13 The money you need to realistically set up any of the streams other than a job and trading is really quite high. Certainly property takes a fair chunk of change. And the knowledge needed to succeed is also extremely high. The chances of you acquiring all the knowledge you need in 2 days is unlikely unless you are going to focus on a very small niche. Compare this with Forex trading. In 2 days you can learn my strategies and place trades live with a budget of just 500 to get started. Yes you can invest more and make more money, but in the early days, you want to limit your exposure. For the sake of the numbers, if you start trading with 1,000 and we adopt a risk profile of no more than 2%, then our total risk is just 20. If we want to be even more cautious, and say only risk 1%, then you could place 70 successive bad trades and still have 50% of your investment pot left. The chances of placing 70 successive bad trades are: 1,180,591,620,717,411,303,424 to 1 That to me is very low risk! Traders get burned when they get greedy. We adopt a slowly, slowly, catchy monkey approach. We want consistent profits and to compound the growth. We are not gamblers! We use strategies that tilt the odds in our favour and we repeat the process again and again and again. Why Do I Recommend Forex? First and foremost, as Robert Kiyosaki said in his book Rich Dad, Poor Dad, I want to make my money work hard for me! Depending where you are in life, you might want to grow your savings pot, or you might want to generate income. I don t know about you, but I hate commuting. Did you know that every 15 minutes journey time to your place of work is a working day per month lost (until you can recover that time, listen to something educational!). 2 trips, there and back x 5 days x 4 weeks x 15 minutes = 10 hours! If you hate commuting, then it is time to start building that escape tunnel. Whose life is it? What are you doing about it? Get your life back. 13

14 The Rules of Trading Forex Over the years, I have created a set of rules for trading currencies. Rule #1 - Trade with the trend Banks are bigger than us they dictate the market. When you see a strong movement in the market, it is because the big institutions have made a market decision or countries are defending their currencies. You just have to go with the trends and not be macho about it. If you decide to go against they trend, you WILL lose. Rule #2 - Trade with the latest technology In the good old days, this use to be a really big issue but it isn t any more. A 300 laptop and an internet connection is all the hardware you need. That connection can come from Starbucks, McDonalds or just at home. All the software tools you need are available for free. Charts, tickers, and live real time exchange rates are all provided by your online broker. Rule #3 - Use the most profitable currencies There are 18 tradable currency pairs; we only trade 4 to 6 of them. These currencies are GBP: Great Britain Pound; USD: United States dollar; EUR: Euro; JPY: Japanese Yen; CAD: Canadian Dollar and AUD: Australian Dollar. Here are the pairs we trade: GBP USD EUR USD EUR JPY GBP JPY USD CAD AUD USD When you describe a trading pair e.g. GBP USD the 1 st symbol represents the unit, i.e. what is 1 GBP worth? For instance 1 GBP is worth 1.5 USD. If they were written USD GBP, then 1 USD would be worth roughly 0.66 GBP. 14

15 Forex Charts Before we can look at the strategies, we need a little back ground into Forex charts. Normally you will be looking at a chart that shows the exchange rate going vertically up and down the graph, and time going from left to right. The time intervals range can vary from minute by minute, to hourly, daily or monthly. We normally look at the 5 minute range. The graph above shows candles. Over the time interval, say 5 minutes, the exchange rate will vary. The vertical line shows the highest and the lowest exchange rate that the currency pair reached during that 5 minute period, At the bottom of the coloured block is the exchange rate at the start of that 5 minute time interval and on top of the coloured block is the closing exchange rate. If the exchange rate finished higher at the end of the 5 minute period than the start rate, then the candle is coloured green. If the exchange rate ended lower after the 5 minute period than the start rate, then the candle is coloured red. 15

16 The next concept we need to get to grips with is the PIP, or the percentage in points. When you trade a currency, 1 GBP might be worth 1.56 USD. When we trade currencies, we add 2 more decimal places i.e. 1 GBP might be worth We trade in PIPS percentage in points. 1 cent = 100 points For instance if you get in a trade at and then get out at then you have made 20 pips. The next feature to be aware of on a chart, is that exchange rates sometimes hit ceilings or resistance lines. The exchange rate goes up until it seems to hit a barrier. This is where the big players start to sell big time putting a cap on the rate. Similarly exchange rates can fall until they hit another low barrier, called a floor or support line. At this point, the big players are buying back into the market. We can draw these lines on a chart. Remember Support = floor and Resistance = Ceiling. Currency exchange rates fluctuate between these two lines until some global news story is broadcast and the trading momentum breaks the floor or ceiling. All we can do is observe and then get on board the train with the big boys. Frequently we observe that an old resistance line can become a new support line and vice versa. 16

17 Given a choice - which of these do you do? a) Develop your own strategy b) Model another Investors profitable strategy? c) Follow a stock picking service or Brokers advice? If you chose A, you would be destined to follow all the mistakes that I made. You would need to invest a lot in training and without a LOT of determination; you would probably lose all your money. If you chose C, then you are in trouble, because unless you are paying big bucks, the information you receive will already be history and you will have missed the market movement. If you chose B, then congratulations! This is a good strategy in any market. Find the best in that market place, property business, internet, or trading and follow exactly what they have done. I want to emphasise something important here. I don t want to teach you how to be a trader, this is learning how to make money in the markets using trading. There is a massive difference. It is important that someone trades in your family. It doesn t have to be you. What is important is that someone trades your money could it be you? I am not a person that derides Jobs, you know, the acronym J O B stands for Just Over Broke! Many people love their jobs, in fact for some it is a calling. When push comes to shove, jobs pay the bills! However a Job is just a stepping stone a temporary position. Ultimately you want to reach financial independence. Most people never even come close because they don t have the tools. It is not that they are incapable, it s just that they done know how. You need tools that are Simple not Difficult, offer More not Less, which get you there Sooner not Later and is Certain not Unsure I need to stress, I don t like gambling I like winning! 17

18 In the 5 pictures below, you can sometimes guess which way the market will move. Above the exchange rate is dropping and then it continues to drop then the rate starts to rise. At this point instead of rising, the rate starts to drop 18

19 and carries on dropping. Sometimes you will be right and sometimes you will be wrong. Quite simply, we don t really know which way the market will go. For the times that we get it wrong, we need to limit our damage by placing stop losses. Making losses will happen in trading, so we need to learn how to manage the risk, ensuring that over time, we will end up ahead. 19

20 Trading Strategies To get an advantage you need to know when to buy, when to sell, what to buy, and to know which strategy to apply at any particular time. Below are my 3 best trading strategies, the strategies that Avi uses to trade my money for me every day. We know they work, they can for you too. Our objective is not to drill into the detail, but to highlight how simple the strategies are, and demonstrate to you that you too can do this. 20

21 News Sniper Strategy The News sniper is the easiest strategy to understand. Every month there are announcements from the UK, Europe, Canada and the States by their respective financial heads that can cause the markets to move. The news sniper strategy takes about 30 minutes per trade and you can easily generate 4-6% per month returns. Once you have set up the trade, and setup your stop loss, you can place a take profit order and walk away. Often though, you can make more money by manually seeing the trade through. This strategy has the highest success rate of all the 3 strategies, but unfortunately there are only a limited number of opportunities to trade each month. The announcement dates and times are published well in advance, so you can just trade during these 30 minute periods. Announcements move the market and where there is movement there is an opportunity to make money. When the markets move we go with the trend. Stop losses are vitally important with this strategy as we must manage our risk. You might be thinking, which way will the market go? Well in our strategy, we place trades for the exchange rate going up and down. To get the details on how we hedge the movement, read on right to the end of this report. 21

22 Profit Focus Strategy To use this strategy, you need to add some indicators to your charting software. An example of an indicator might be a moving average. It s not complicated. The indicators will just add additional lines on your chart. Using the profit focus strategy, you should be able to make at least 3-6% per month. There are two main trading periods during the day, 8am to 11am, and 1pm to 4pm. For 2 minutes every hour, you check the indicators to see if there is an opportunity to trade. There are normally 2 trading opportunities across the 6 trading pairs per day. This strategy is extremely simple, you have a check list. When all the criteria are met, you get into the trade. You don t need to understand what the indicators mean, you just need to look at them and check to see if they meet the right state e.g. some indicators need to be green, some red, and others are where one line crosses another. Only if the 5 point check list is all checked do you get in. Once you are in the trade, you come back every hour to check for 2 minutes. You are never in the trade longer than a day. Alternatively once you are in the trade, you can set a stop loss and a take profit order and walk away. When placing this trade, you must always add a stop loss. The Stop loss must be small, because we don t like risk. 22

23 How would you feel if you made 5% on a trade? You probably think yes, that s a great trade. But it is not a great trade if you risked 5% to make it that would be a bad trade! To use the indicators and check points, you need the indicators added to your charting software. To discover how to get these indicators added to your charts and how to interpret them, read to the end of the report. 23

24 Pivot Power Strategy The pivot power strategy is a suitable strategy for a full time trader. The suggested trading periods are 8am to 11am, and 1pm to 4pm, but not Friday afternoons. There are 4 indicators used to identify a trading opportunity. When you know what to check, you can do the chart analysis in about 20 seconds. Generally you find that there are 2 opportunities to trade in the morning session, and 2 opportunities to trade in the afternoon. 24

25 This strategy should produce 6-10% per month. 25

26 You Must Make 5 Decisions The strategies above are the only strategies Avi used to convert 10,000 into over 54,000 in a year. Do not expect to take these strategies and implement them straight away from this report. This report is like the Highway Code. You can not read the Highway Code and jump into a car and drive. You need driving lessons. This report is design to show you what others have achieved, what is possible and basically how Forex trading works. Now it is your turn. If you have thought that ok, this may be possible, then it s time to get Forex driving lessons. Here are a few decisions that you have to make: How much money do you want to invest? What % return do you want? When do you want it by? When is now a good time? What Trading System fits your lifestyle? Now find the most successful trader you can that is willing to share his system and copy him. We know where to get in, we know where to get out and we know where to put our stop loss. You then automate the entire thing and you are done for the day. Here are some reasons to trade Forex It is Fast. It is Simple. You get what you want, when you want it! You can trade from 20 minutes, to 5 hours per day. Is this just swapping 1 job for another? Well yes, but look at the conditions: You decide your hours You decide your pay check You have no Boss You can have a day off or a half day off when ever you want You can take the entire month off There is no forced overtime 26

27 Most investors have never learned how to invest. Would you drive without driving lessons? Would you trade with out trading lessons? Most Courses are a Raw Deal There are a number of courses on the market. Here is what we have found with the other seminars: Too much material you can become overwhelmed There are too many people in the room Your questions are not answered There is no opportunity to practice There is no follow up support There are no guarantees Before investing in education, in any field, there are 5 questions you must ask first. Can you back up your claims Will I get my questions answered small groups Will I be able to place live trades computer each Is there live follow up support as part of the course Do you guarantee what you teach works Comment [DK1]: Remove this? At a recent Forex workshop, Avi traded live and the delegates followed his trades. On average the delegates made 8% on their portfolio. Many of these delegates were complete beginners. Before they came on the workshop, they opened a trading account and put in 500. So when they made 8%, they actually made real money! Making REAL money is a thrill! Be aware that money doesn t care if you are a beginner or not Just follow the rules Here is a secret, woman make the better traders. ( PS I want to keep this a secret!)
