4 In a new rugged design for DIN rail mounting: The family. The Rail Switches for Fast and Gigabit Ethernet are now available in a newly designed metal housing. They are therefore now even more rugged and better suited for use under extreme ambient conditions. All components have been designed for an operating temperature range of 40 C up to + 85 C. The modular principle offers this same high flexibility that characterizes the OpenRail switches. The family guarantees maximum resistance to EMI vibrations in all situations. Not only in substations, but also in all applications where maximum ruggedness is required on the DIN rail. For instance, in optical networks used in rail transportation, in passenger information systems, in conveyor belts or in runway illumination.
