This measures decreased due to the lower number of inquiries received. This measure increased due to the large number of requests received for assistance. This measure decreased due to the low number of training requests received. This measure increased due to the requirements of the County's ADA Transition Plan. Last year, all county employees were required to take HIPAA training. This year, only those employees working for covered entities or significantly impacted units are required to take the training. All others will receive a yearly notice regarding HIPAA 7 This measure decreased due to the low number of internal complaints received. 8 This measure decreased in relationship to the lower number of complaints received. 9 This measure decreased due to the low number of accommodation requests received. 10 This measure decreased due to the reduced number of trainings scheduled. 4 Explanation of variances greater than 15 percent: 1 Additional outreach to businesses that possess an occupational license in the tri-county area resulted in an increase of applications for certification. 2 A greater attention to compliance throughout the life of the projects and to the addition/deletion/substitution of MWBE subcontractors included on a project has led to vendors keeping their goal attainment at the level agreed to at project inception. 3 The increase in the sheltered market amount is due to the fact that there is greater understanding of the program among agency buyers, and more visibility among our certified small businesses. 4 The increase in the number of small businesses receiving contracts is tied directly to total dollars awarded and number of contracts.
