2 EXTREMELY RARE PASSION RELIC Early 19th c. reliquary (1" by 1 1/4") containing an extremely rare Passion relic of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It contains a particle of the Holy Sponge!!! The Latin label says "Sponge dipped in gall and vinegar and placed to the mouth of Our Lord Jesus Christ." ST. They were beatified on 1 December 1717 and canonized in 1887 as The Seven Holy Founders. On the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1240 the Founders received a vision of Our Lady. She held in her hand the black habit, and a nearby angel bore a scroll reading Servants of Mary. Mary told them, You will found a new order, and you will be my witnesses throughout the world.
