1 AB-6218-U Specifications Neo / Room Temperature / Humidity HTY7003 / HY7003 General The HTY7003 Room Temperature / Humidity s are designed to monitor interior building humidity and temperature levels and provide a proportional output for use in heating, ventilating and air conditioning control systems. The s use a PT100 platinum film temperature sensing element for temperature measurement and a polymer capacitive film humidity sensing element ( FP3 ) for humidity measurement. The sensing elements have been specifically developed by Yamatake to ensure highly accurate and reliable measurement of space conditions over time. Models are available with two s housed in one unit ( HTY7003 ) to sense both humidity and temperature, a humidity only ( HY7003 ) for just humidity measurement. 5 Wiring Instructions Shielded multi-wire cables with 16AWG (1.25 mm²) is recommended. Be sure to ground the shielded cable at the controller. The maximum cable length is 327 ft (100 m). Never connect power supply lead to the temperature outputs. Always check wiring before applying power. Use a dedicated transformer for power. Never share transformer with other products. 6 Maintenance The temperature and humidity s have been factory calibrate and need no further adjustments prior to installation. However to maintain proper operation the equipment should be inspected periodically. 1) Periodical inspection The equipment should be inspected for build-up of dust and dirt tyat may affect the s performance. 2) Troubleshooting If any problem occurs during operation, refer to the following troubleshooting guide for appropriate solutions. The output value is increased by turning this volume in clockwise deirection and decreased by turning it counter clockwise. A humidity with higher accuracy than the Yamatake should be used as a reference.
