3 Fixtures and Dates The league will begin in in October 2015 (Term1) DAPSA have arranged the fixtures dates all based around the Wednesday. If you need to change the day of the fixture, please contact the school direct; however, try not to play outside the week scheduled. There is a week prior to the Finals Week that can be used as a buffer to complete matches that may have needed to be rescheduled. Wednesday 14 th October Wednesday 18 th November This allows 6 weeks for all fixtures to be played. The number of fixtures for all divisions is 5. Therefore, this is ample time for all matches to be played. Please feel free to arrange friendly fixtures with other teams from other divisions should you wish and also to arrange non-league friendly fixtures to accommodate any B teams on the same day that you have league matches for your A teams. All matches must be played by Wednesday 18th th November 2015 and all results entered onto the DAPSA micro site. Please can you keep a separate record of your own goal scorers and then at the end of the season I will ask for names to be given to me so we can establish a top goal scorer for each division. Finals Day Tournament League presentations will take place at the tournament, a great opportunity to award the winners from all five divisions who will receive a trophy and individual medals. There will also be a Golden Boot certificate for all five divisions and an overall Golden Boot trophy across the divisions*.

4 The format for Finals Day will be different this year due to the number of teams we now have competing and the desire to ensure all teams take part. I will forward this information later but for now we are expecting that all teams will qualify for Finals Day with your position in the table determining what competition you enter on Finals Day. *NB only goals played prior to the final tournament (league matches) will count towards the Golden Boot trophy. However, in the event of a tie, goals scored on finals day will also count between the tying players only. Playing Areas, Footwear and Size of Footballs Ideally the matches will be played on grass pitches and tiger turf pitches. Studs, moulded or trainers may all be worn on all surfaces. A size 4 football should be used for all League games. Pitch sizes may vary, depending on the size of area available, however as a general rule, school should aim for a maximum of approximately 55 x 36 metres. Ideally pitches will be no smaller than 45 x 27 metres. Ideally, the field will be marked out, if not penalty area, half way and pitch boundaries should be clearly identified. The dimension of goalposts may differ from school to school but should be proportionate in relation to the size of the pitch. Full-size goalposts are NOT permitted. Number of Players and Squad Numbers All Divisions All matches will be 7-A-Side Squads will be a maximum of 12* *N.B There will only be a maximum of 12 individual medals awarded for winners and runners up of both divisions.

5 Age Restrictions All divisions: Players should be 11 years or under on September 1 st All children taking part in the Year 5/ 6 league must be within that cohort or lower (UK based). Children within age range but currently working in a higher cohort are not permitted to play. Overage Players The Two Player Rule will apply for the Girls Football League. In order for all children to play with classmates and peers a maximum of two overage players are permitted on the pitch at any one time. The Two Player Rule is reliant on high degree of trust and sportsmanship on the part of schools and coaches. The deliberate failure to comply with, or manipulation of, the two player rule could result in a team s removal from the league. Please not that there are NO limits on the number of underage players permitted to be on the pitch as any one time as this is not viewed as gaining an unfair advantage over an opposing team. Incomplete Divisional League Fixtures All matches need to be played by Wednesday 18th th November Any matches not played by this time will be recorded as a 0-0 draw.

6 Please share these rules and procedures with all players and coaches prior to the start of the league. Normal rules of football apply except there is no off-side. At kick-off, the ball may be played forward or backwards. During league games the toss of a coin involving both captains will decide which team kicks-off, whilst for games on Finals Day the first named team will start with the ball at kick-off and the second named team may select the goal that they wish to defend. Any decision should be made as quickly as possible so that games can begin promptly. The goalkeeper may only handle the ball inside the box or the 'D'. The attacking team will be awarded a direct free kick if the goalkeeper deliberately handles the ball outside the box or D. The goalkeeper CANNOT handle the ball following a back-pass from a team-mate. A direct free kick will be awarded from the point at which the ball entered the box or D. Goal-kicks should be taken from the floor and anywhere on the edge of, or inside, the box or D itself. A goal CAN be scored directly from this. A team must retire a minimum of 3m from a free-kick, a corner kick or a goal kick. All free kicks are direct. End of the game will be decided by the referee (games should remain as close to 30 minutes in total as possible). Penalty kicks shall be taken from the penalty spot, 6m from the goal line (or 1.5 x width of goal) All League games will last a total of 30 minutes (15 minutes each half) with a 5 minute change over period at half time. League positions shall be decided on the number of points a team has, then, if that is the same the two team s HEAD TO HEAD score shall determine which team finishes in the higher position.

7 If still equal, GOAL DIFFERENCE (i.e. number of goals scored against subtracted from the goals scored) shall determine which team finishes in the higher position. If still equal, then the team who scored the MOST goals shall be given the higher position. If still equal, a penalty shoot-out (5 v 5) will occur between the 2 teams involved. A coin will be tossed to determine who goes first. (This will take place at the End of Season Tournament ) The Penalty shoot-out will take place in a goal nominated by the referee and shall be a 5 v 5 spot-kick match. The winners will be the team scoring the most penalties. If still equal, a sudden-death penalty shoot-out shall take place involving the REST of the team s squad. POINT SCORING SYSTEM: 3 points are awarded for a WIN, 1 point for a DRAW, 0 points for a LOSS.

8 General Rules a) Shin pads MUST be worn by all participants. Failure to do so will result in a player being asked to leave the pitch. b) All shirts should be tucked inside shorts. Discipline Procedure c) In the event teams playing in the same coloured shirts, bibs will be provided and should be worn. A tossed coin can be used to determine who wears the bibs in the event of disagreement. d) At the end of the match players and coaches MUST shake hands with, and thank each other and officials. Players will be discipline as follows: Warned by referee Final warning by referee Referee my request that player is substituted (Players asked to leave the field cannot return in the same game) The referee s decision is final. Serious, disruptive or violent incidents by players, coaches or spectators may result in their suspension from the rest of the league.
