2 Fasting Tips Fasting Is Abstaining From Food For Spiritual Purposes Begin A Fast With An Attitude Of Positive Faith It is God s will that I fast When I fast according to scripture God will bless me 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6: Find a quite place with NO distractions. * Turn off your mobile phone 2. Keep away from TV while on your fast 3. Set a time to be with God. Beginners aim for 20 minutes or ½ an hour. If you can, 1 hour would be great. Jesus said could you not spend One Hour with me 4. Read & Feast on the Word of God 5. Meditate Take one verse or part of a verse and think on it alone. Silence your thoughts, stop them wandering and fix your thoughts on that one verse or passage. 6. Listen to Christian music Praise & Worship 7. Drink plenty of water 8. Don t eat a huge meal before your fast i.e. eat light before & after the fast 9. The focus isn t Not Eating Food - The focus is Spending Time With God 10.Again DRINK PLENTY OF WATER If You Have Any Medical Condition(s) Seek Medical Advice Before Any Fast

I invite you now to be LORD of the whole of my life: -LORD of my mind, all my attitudes and my mental health -LORD of my body and my physical health -LORD of my spirit and all my worship -LORD of my family and all my relationships -LORD of my sexuality and all its expressions -LORD of my work and my service for you -LORD of all my finances -LORD of my material good and my needs -LORD of all my emotions and reactions -LORD of my will and all my decisions -LORD of the manner and time of my death Thank you that Your blood was shed that I might be set free. 4 There Is Kingdom Power In The Shed Blood Of Jesus Christ - Power To Redeem, Power To Cleanse, Power To Reconcile Us To God, Power To Overcome. Today We Are Going To Appropriate This Kingdom Power In Our Homes & Families Read: I John Chapter One - Building An Altar To God In Our Homes - Verse 5 - God is Light & in Him is NO darkness at all. Verse 7 - If we walk in the Light as He is in the Light we will: have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin Verse 8 - If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the the truth is not in us. Verse 9 - If we confess our sins, He Is Faithful & Just To Forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness Pray & ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance anything you need to confess. (Give a little bit of time for your family to wait on the Holy Spirit. Encourage them to confess their sins) (Get Whole Family To Repeat After You) In Christ Jesus I have Redemption Through His Blood, The Forgiveness Of Sins 1 By His Blood, Christ Jesus, Has Taken All The Punishment For All My Sins 2 By The Blood Of Jesus Christ I Have Been Justified, Declared Not Guilty 3 In Christ Jesus, I ve Been Brought Into The Family Of God & Have Access To God 4 I Overcome The Accuser By The Blood Of The Lamb & By The Word Of My Testimony & I Do Not Love My Life To The Death. 5 Give Thanks & Praise God For The Blessing Upon Your Family That Comes Through The Shed Blood Of Jesus Christ 1 Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:14, 2 Romans 3:25 3 Romans 5:9 4 Ephesians 2:13 5 Revelation 12:11

5 Exercising & Walking In Your God Given Authority Releases Great Blessing Over Your Family & Home. Today We Are Going To Appropriate God s Authority In Our Homes. Read Joshua 24:13-18 Read Genesis 18:19 God has given the Head (Husband/Father or if single parent, that is you) of the home an Authority (which is Spiritual & backed by God) to Command their Children & the whole household, as you lead by example: Read I Corinthians 11:3 - Building An Altar To God In Our Homes - - keeping the ways of God - doing righteousness & justice Our ultimate Authority is God the Father, who is the head of Christ. The head of every man is Christ. Jesus Christ is Our Lord & it is to Him, the head of the family must submit As the husband/father submits to the Lordship of Christ he commands his household, not after his own opinions & preferences but to keep the ways of God Ask your family to pray for you, that the Lord would: - Bless you with a spirit of wisdom & understanding, spiritual discernment - Strengthen you & enable you to lead in Godliness & Love - Raise you up in the power of the Holy Spirit, & be all God has called you to be - Bless you & cause His Grace to increase & manifest in your life (Get The Head Of The Family To Declare With Authority) But As For Me & My House We Shall Serve The Lord I Confess God The Father Is The Head Of Christ I Confess That Christ Is Lord & Head Of This Home Lord Take Your Place As Head Of This Home Lead Us & Guide According To Your Mercy & Grace As A Family We Acknowledge Your Lordship & Willingly Submit To You I Proclaim The Authority & Lordship Of Jesus Over My Marriage - Children - Our Health & Finances Lead Family To Give Thanks & Praise God For The Blessing Upon Your Family That Comes Through The Authority & Lordship Of Christ Over Your Home

6 God s Redemptive Purposes Are A 24/7 Reality. There Is No Greater Joy Than Seeing The Redemptive Purposes Of God Being Accomplished & Fulfilled In Your Family & Home. Today We Are Going To Focus On God s Redemptive Purposes In Our Homes. Read John 3:1-21 Salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit and grace of God in our lives. We are saved by repenting from our sins and being born from above by the power of Holy Spirit through faith. Read Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men Read 2 Peter3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promises as some count slackness, but is longsuffering towards us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Read Romans 10:13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved Your family is a part of God s redemptive purpose to the people around you. We have a responsibility to pray for and share the love and the gospel of Christ with those around us. Now think of the people in your family who are not saved. List them down and start praying for them by their names. -That the Holy Spirit will start to quicken them unto salvation. -Pray that God will use you to plant seeds of the gospel in them -Pray that God will create the opportunity for you to minister good news to them -Pray for their protection (Ask the whole family to repeat after you) This family is not under the curse of sin and law, but under the blessings of God through Jesus Christ our Lord We believe God for an outpouring of grace for salvation to those that we have been praying for. We Confess that, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne We confess that Jesus is the lamb of God that takes away our sin We ask You God to bring conviction in to their hearts that will lead to their conversion. Give thanks and praise for the redemptive purpose and plan that God has for your family in your home through Jesus Christ our Lord.

7 God s Grace Is Where It ALL Starts - His Supernatural Enabling Power Working In Our Families & Homes So That We Can Be All He Has Called Us To Be AND Do All He Has Called Us To Do. Today We Are Going To Seek God To Flood Our Families & Homes With His Grace Read Ephesians 2: Building An Altar To God In Our Homes - Read 2 Corinthians 9:8 - And God is able to make All Grace Abound Toward You; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: Read Hebrews 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Your Heavenly Father bids you come. So Come Seek His Grace, Come Seek His Enabling Power, Come Seek His Mercy. Come boldly, bring and name your needs & your desires. Dare to Believe, Dare To Trust: - God s Grace Is More Than Sufficient To Meet Your Every Need - Pray This Prayer: We thank you Heavenly Father that you bid us to come to your throne of Grace. Today we come asking and believing that Your Grace, Your supernatural Enabling Power will be released & poured out on & in this home & family. Heavenly Father we seek your power, your favour to work in us as a family To Be & To Do all You have called us to. We commit this week of prayer & fasting to you & ask your blessing upon it and your blessing upon each family represented in the Church, in Jesus name,amen. (For the family to declare together) I was created in Christ Jesus to do Good works To deny ungodliness and worldly lusts To live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world By the Grace of God By the Grace of God I will walk worthy of the calling with which He has called me Your Grace IS sufficient for me Your strength IS made perfect in my weakness I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me from within Thank The Lord For The Gift Of Grace That Is Freely Given Even Though It Is Not Deserved. Thank The Lord For Pouring Out In Abundance All That Pertains To Life & Godliness Upon Your Family. Thank Him For Every Good Gift & Provision And Give Thanks For Breakthrough

8 Release Blessing - God The Father Is The Source Of All Blessings. There Is An Abundance Of God s Blessings In Christ Jesus - Life, Joy, Grace, Supplies, Power, Health, Peace And So Much More. Today We Are Going To Release Blessing Over Our Families And Homes. Read Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus Read James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Read 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: Read Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God Release God s Blessing On Your Family Heavenly Father we pray for your blessing over our whole family. We pray for: - Salvation for every member of this family - Unity & a spirit of Peace to fill our home - Health & Protection for every member of this family - Financial blessing & provision - A spirit of Wisdom & Understanding, open the eyes of our hearts Lord - Joy to fill our hearts & Strength to Live for Christ our Lord (For the Head of the Family to declare to the family) The Lord bless you and keep you The Lord make His face shine upon you And be gracious to you The Lord lift up His countenance upon you And give you peace Numbers 6:24-27 Pray And Thank God For All The Blessings He bestows Upon You And Your Family. And Start To Speak A Release Of God s Blessing Upon Your Family.
