2 FUNCTIONS AND CONTROLS The Veetronix Siren Control is housed in a NEMA 4X metal enclosure rated for indoor or outdoor use. Inside the system components are mounted on an aluminum plate. Two terminal blocks are used to connect the Siren Control to the outside equipment. One for the AC power input; VAC. The second is for the relay outputs which are connected to the starter coil contact of the siren. A 12 volt power supply provides DC power to the radio receiver and decoder board. When power is applied LED D8 on the decoder board will be on. LED D5 will flash when the processor on the decoder board is operational. D9 is a carrier detect LED and will come on when the radio receiver is receiving a signal. Temperature is controlled by a power resistor which is connected to the AC power through a thermostat. This thermostat is rated at 86 degrees fahrenheit. The decoder is capable of 4 codes, 3 turn on codes and 1 cancel code. Each on code can be programmed to activates relay 1, relay 2, or both relays. Both relays have normally open (NO), common (C), and normally closed (NC) contacts. Pressing the switches on the decoder board labeled Code #1, Code #2, and Code #3 will start the timers and turn on the relay(s) associated with that code. It will also illuminate the LED located next to the switch. The LED located next to Code #4 (reset) switch illuminates only when the cancel code is recieved. INSTALLATION 1) Mount Siren Control on a wall or pole. 2) Drill a hole for your AC input conduit in the bottom or lower right side of the enclosure. Then connect AC power ( VAC) to the terminal block labeled AC (N), AC (L), and FG. 3) Drill another hole in the bottom or lower right side of the enclosure for connections to the output relay contacts. The terminal block for these connections is located on the decoder circuit board and is designed for wire gauges 14 to 28 AWG. These output relay contacts should be connected to a starter coil of the motor being controlled. 4) Install the 1/4 wave antenna onto the antenna mount located on top of the enclosure.

3 LIMITED WARRANTY Veetronix, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser, equipment described herein to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service when used for the purpose for which the equipment was designed. This warranty is for a period of one year from date of shipment for most Veetronix equipment. Exceptions in time periods will be specified on advertising materials for that product. The liability of Veetronix, Inc shall be limited to replacement or repair of the defective part, by the factory, without charge, provided the equipment is delivered to us intact with all transportation charges prepaid to the factory. Repaired equipment shall be returned to the purchaser F.O.B. factory. Exceptions to warranty are fuses, batteries and auxillary equipment which are covered by the original manufacturer's standard EIA warranty and are, therefore, excluded from the provisions of this warranty. This warranty is, and shall be in lieu of all other warranties. Whether expressed or implied, and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Veetronix, Inc., resulting from installation or use of this equipment. This warranty is void if equipment described herein has been abused, improperly used, modified, improperly installed or repaired by persons other than those authorized by Veetronix, Inc. Except as expressly provided herein, all warranties of any kind which may be disclaimed are hereby disclaimed (such as, but not limited to, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose). Whether expressed or implied. Veetronix, Inc. sells or otherwise delivers the product or service "as is," "where is," and "with all faults," intending that Veetronix, Inc. shall have no liability for any consequential or incidental damage whatsoever. 7 TONES & RELAY TIMING PROGRAMMING Programming Kit G-3432 is required to program the decoder/timer/relay board. Some of the things that can be programmed are; tone frequencies, tone timing, relay cycle time, and total relay timeouts. Programming Kit G-3433 is required to program the RF receiver. For decoder program - Install the CD into your disk drive and run the setup.exe file. This will make new Veetronix and Microchip folders in your Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder. It will also install the decoder software, Microchip MCP2200 driver, and put an icons on your desktop. Apply power to the decoder board. The power LED (D8) will illuminate when power is applied. The processor LED (D5) will also illuminate and begin to flash when initialized. Connect the programming cable by plugging into a port on your computer and the MINI end of the cable to J5 of the decoder board. This connector is located at the top of the decoder board. Once the decoder board has detected the connection the processor LED (D5) will stop flashing and stay on solid. Open the decoder software by clicking on the V icon on your desk top, then select Siren Decoder option. Once the software has opened at the bottom of the menu it will display the version software as well as the Comm port the communicating on. If you receive a communication error, click on the large button, Device Search. Make your tone frequencies and relay options for each code required. Then click the button Download To Device, once your information has been downloaded you will get a response back tell you that it has been successful.
