1 Primary Plan Registered Pension Plan Contribution s 2016 The 2016 contribution tables may be used to calculate the required monthly remittances for OMERS members earning up to $174, annually. Use the 2016 Retirement Compensation Arrangement (RCA) Contribution s for members earning over $174, There is no change to OMERS 2016 Primary Plan Registered Pension Plan (RPP) and Retirement Compensation Arrangement (RCA) contribution rates for both normal retirement age 60 and 65 members. Deduct contributions at the 2016 rates beginning with the first, full pay period. This table shows the ranges of earnings up to the OMERS Sponsors Corporation approved RPP allocation threshold for For applicable members on 2x contribution cost leave periods, calculate contributions only up to the RPP Income Tax Act earnings limit noted in the tables. See Section 11 of the OMERS Employer Administration Manual for more information on differences for leave period costs. Contributory earnings cap Effective January 1, 2016, the member's annual earnings for pension purposes are capped at the lesser of: 150% of contributory earnings calculated before annual incentive pay; and 7 times the year's maximum pensionable earnings (YMPE) (for the contributory year). The cap applies to all members. Please refer to Section 3 of the OMERS Employer Administration Manual for more information, including administration of the above cap for prior years. Also see RCA tables for the description.
