2 About the Menopause Center of New Jersey Menopause is a time of transition, change and reflection. The Menopause Center of New Jersey takes the time to understand women from many different perspectives: mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, environmentally and genetically. We understand how the interaction of hormonal changes, diet, stress, the digestive process and toxins can affect your body. The Menopause Center of New Jersey helps you manage your symptoms using a collaborative and cooperative approach, integrating complementary therapies with conventional medical options. We work with you to develop a customized plan and discuss options to make sure you are comfortable with the choices available including hormone replacement therapy, bioidenticals, nutritional support and supplements. We also offer a range of integrative medicine techniques to minimize menopause symptoms: acupuncture, massage, stress reduction, mind/body self-care and nutritional counseling. 3 What Is Menopause? Our Approach Menopause is a natural, biological process that occurs in all women and simply means the end of menstruation. It is a decline in the production of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone that can lead to a variety of symptoms. Estrogen and progesterone have critical effects on the reproductive system, urinary function, bone and mineral metabolism, cardiovascular function and memory/cognition. Lower levels of these hormones in the blood can produce unpleasant symptoms.
