1 Study Visit of Turkish authorities to the North Italian motorways The study visit has been promoted under the sponsorship of TAIEX, the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the Institution Building, unit of Directorate-General Enlargement of the European Commission. A study visit concerning Monitoring and determination of the level of capacity, congestion, delay, safety and precautions to be taken on TEN-T road network by using road management systems in EU countries has been organized in favour of high officers from the Ministry of Transports Directorate General for Turkish Highways. The following delegation of the Turkish authorities will attend the study visit: Mücahit ARMAN - dırector of strategıc plannıng dıvısıon strategy development department Oğuz SEHTİYANCI - deputy dırector of strategıc plannıng dıvısıon Kenan KAYACI - chıef of strategıc research - strategy development / strategıc plannıng dıvısıon The following subjects will be considered during the visit: Italian Road Network System, Improvement of capacity and traffic safety on TEN-T road network Road User Charging including motorway tolls Financing of motorway projects by BOT Site visit to various motorway section and other functional roads The study visit is organized upon a week (5 working days) in the period from 17 to 21 November Taiex Code: Infra Road Mgt Systems The visit will be hosted by the SINA and the ASTM/SIAS group, operator of the Trans-European Network in Northern part of Italy.
