Welcome ISB Parents! We are getting close to Christmas break, and we wish everyone here from our staff a wonderful and safe holiday, with some much needed time off and family activities! Below are some announcements that are important to know before we enter our last week of school! School building - We would like to share our update information with you about the Csilleberc property. The operator of the school has got in touch with several lawyers on this matter. As a result it was concluded, that there should not be any changes regarding the operation of the real estate used by the school before the end of academic year 2016/17. Thus the possibility for ISB using the current buildings is continuously available, not only in this school year but in the next academic year (2016/17) as well. As you have been informed before the property of the buildings rented by the school was subject of a succession lawsuit. As to our best knowledge, however a final, second-degree trial decision was made in this proceedings on the 3 rd of November 2015, the entire legal procedure is far from being closed yet. A new first-degree trial will start at the beginning of the year 2016 regarding the taking possession of the property and the settlement of economic events taken place during the legally unsettled period (costs of investment made in regards to utilities, heating, road and buildings, settling the rental fee retrospectively, etc.). The trial will at least take several months (up to more than a year) because of the multiple minimum 30-day procedural deadlines. Besides that we were informed by the landlord that the Pioneer Association (defendant party in the lawsuit) intends to appeal against the future judgment, so the matter will need to be discussed in a second-degree trial which also delays the final judgment for several months. We also have been informed by the landlord that rental contract of the school remains in force until the final judgment of the referred two lawsuits, which is therefore not expected before the end of academic year 2016/17. Should we have any authentic and meaningful information about changes in the above described situation, we shall report it in writing to parents.

2 Page 2 Family Day - Parents are reminded that there is a Family Day, tomorrow, December 12 th, here at ISB. The school day will start at 9 and will end around 11:45-12:00. Coffee, tea and pogacsa will be served at the break time, however, since we already have several tables with food and treats, lunch will not be served as on other Family days. Crafts will be made from 9-10:30, after which will be an outside break for students, and the Advent Fair will begin at 11. Donation - On Tuesday, December 15 th, the Grade 4B s will be taking the gifts collected for the orphanage to the children there, and will also visit another school and show them their special Christmas play. Thank you to all parents who donated the wonderful gifts and presents for our annual giving. You can still donate clothes, gifts and other items until Tuesday, December 15 th, at 9 in the morning, when the Grade 4B s will leave. Christmas performance - Parents are reminded that next week, Thursday, December 17 th, will be the 2 nd grade performance of Bethlehem, and on Friday, December 18 th, will be the performance of the Middle School in A 21 st Century Christmas Story with the singing talents of the Primary children mixed throughout. Everyone is encouraged to attend both days, as our students have worked hard to prepare and are excited to perform. Every student will perform on one of those days in our theater. Bethlehem will be performed at 14:00 on December 17; A 21 st Century Christmas Story will be performed at 10:30-12 on December 18. Last day before winter break - On December 18, our last day of school, that students can be picked up at any point during the day, but we would ask that they remain until 12, so they can perform in the play. Afterschool will be from 13:00-14:00, at which time all students must be picked up. There is no afterschool from 14:00-17:00, so please plan accordingly. Parents are reminded that January 4, Monday, is a teacher work-day, and therefore there will not be school. School will start again on January 5, Tuesday, at the regular time. Dentist check - Students and parents are reminded that if they are taking part in the Dentist appointment, that they should report at 8 in the morning of January 5 th directly to the dentist office. (Gyermek és Ifjúsági Fogászati Ellátás) Snow day procedure - If a snow day occurs, the procedure for notifying parents is as follows: By 7 am, if school is cancelled or delayed, an will be sent to every parent and also the information will be posted on the ISB website.
