GREEN MOMENTUM Over the years, changing world dynamics have propelled the green movement with environmental concerns such as global warming, pollution and landfill waste gaining exposure. Over the last twenty years, the federal government has issued various Executive Orders pertaining to greening its facilities and thereby encouraging the private sector to develop products and technologies to further the green movement. Now, consumers have sought ways to minimize their impact on the environment by choosing products that are made from recovered materials or manufactured and transported with methods less harmful to our environment. In essence, consumers are seeking green products. Unfortunately, not all of the products associated with being green are truly environmentally preferable. Buyers and consumers have to be aware of greenwashing which, simply defined, is misleading claims about the environmental benefits of a product. You don t have to worry with Renown towels and tissue.
