3 E-Governance Infrastructure Implementation Unit CJSC (EKENG) was established in 2009 by the Government of the Republic of Armenia. EKENG CJSC is responsible for the technical implementation of e-society in Armenia in accordance with the Concept of e-society development in the Republic of Armenia approved by the Government.

6 A health information system that provides reliable, timely, high-quality information is a key prerequisite for good health system stewardship. Therefore, Integrated Health Information System is supporting universal modernization of health system via implementation of modern information and communication technologies to provide highquality, safe, available and cost-effective medical services to the society with the purpose of improving the quality of public health and achieving increase of citizens satisfaction with the healthcare system.

14 Health Management System: provides accurate and up-to-date financial information and medical statistics enabling better and more efficient healthcare planning, organization and financing.

15 Electronic Health Records: digitally stored healthcare information about an individual's lifetime with the purpose of supporting continuity of care, education and research, and ensuring confidentiality at all times e-prescribing System: the use of computing devices to enter, modify, review, and output or communicate drug prescriptions

16 Digital images system: makes it possible to electronically file, retrieve, and transfer images. e-health portal: a public service tool which enables system participants to access data irrespective of time and place (portal is an entry point to e-health).

20 In accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the RA Ministry of Health and EKENG CJSC on 29 December 2010, EKENG CJSC is assigned the role of an implementation agency for Integrated Health Information System deployment in Armenia, in close cooperation with and under coordination of the Ministry of Health.
