This letter is to explain how the first few days of school will run and to share some details you will need to know to begin the school year. To do immediately: Book an appointment with your Teacher Advocate online using Conference Manager see instructions attached to this letter. (The name of your advocate is at the top of this letter.) Wednesday, September 9, Orientation Day 1. Meet your Teacher Advocate at the time you scheduled, to receive and check your timetable. 2. Have your picture taken in the gym. (Between 8:30 12:00 and 1:00 3:30.) 3. Sign up for a locker. As all lockers are shared, please find a locker partner and sign up together in the gym. (You must be with your partner to sign up.) 4. Hand in all enclosed forms and pay student fees in the gym. 4 Internet and Systems Acceptable Use Agreement: Grade 9 12 STUDENTS PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES Users shall not use the Facilities: to distribute commercial advertisements, solicitations, or promotions, except as expressly authorized by the School Division; to distribute spam, chain mail, or play recreational computer games; to disseminate virus software or political material for non-instructional purposes; to further any unlawful purpose; to send, display, copy, read, store, receive, print, download, upload, distribute or disseminate illegal, profane, obscene, pornographic, violent, hate, fraudulent, discriminatory, harassing, embarrassing, humiliating, degrading, intimidating, threatening or defamatory material, or material that is protected by intellectual property laws or is in violation of any laws; to infringe anyone s intellectual property rights; to install, download, modify or copy unauthorized software or hardware, including screen savers and freeware ; to harm, disassemble or destroy equipment and/or data; or to malign or defame the School Division, its employees, contractors, students or members of the greater community. Users shall not engage in: unauthorized interference, tampering, destruction, deletion, removal, concealment, snooping, copying or encryption; unauthorized access, hacking, cracking, bugging or attempting to access systems, passwords, , voice mail, files or other data, whether internal to the Facilities, or external; virus distribution whether internal to the Facilities or external; disclosing passwords or using others passwords; posting any material on the Internet, newsgroups, bulletin boards, chat rooms or other public forums, except as expressly authorized by the School Division; or viewing, posting, sending or otherwise disclosing confidential, trade secret or proprietary material of the School Division.
