4 Create work items from asset attributes and forum posts You can now create a new Rational Team Concert work item and link it to your reply Readers of the forum can track the status of the work item Likewise, the product now supports creating links to work items from attributes This is ideal for linking to plan items Say an asset consumer asked a question on the forums about a strange behavior of your asset: 4

5 New and enhanced OOTB policies Append content from a template or a form stored in another asset Publish an asset to Tivoli s TADDM for application discovery (DLA) You can now configure your lifecycles to automatically change owners and categorizations as the assets change states 5

6 Lifecycle action status The collaboration page now shows what is required for each action for the state and the status of each requirement 6

7 Improved forum feeds The feeds for asset and community forums now contain entire posts and the subjects of topics 7

8 Improved synchronization view and editor The asset synchronization user interface has been improved to better communicate the difference between local and server content The compare editor will now display differences in a split tree, where local and remote changes are displayed and expanded automatically as you drill down 8

9 Improved usability of working with asset versions Before , options to create a new version or replace the current version were provided after the user made changes to the asset and began the submission process This caused confusion because it was not clear these options would be presented Now users select there intention before submitting the asset 9

10 API improvements Review and comment Use the Java API to write applications that review assets and post comments Ant tasks for lifecycles Specify an actionname or actionid when modifying an asset to change the state of the asset - this is useful incases where your build process should change the state of an asset Using the Ant API, tasks can now review assets and post comments 10

11 Implemented the OSLC Asset Management 1.0 specification The intent of this specification is to define the set of HTTP-based RESTful interfaces (Asset Management REST Services API in terms of HTTP methods: GET, POST, PUT and DELETE, HTTP response codes, mime type handling and resource formats for the use in Asset Management tools and use by ALM tools Read more about the REST API 11
