Any changes to this will be announced in advanced. If any questions arise during the course of the year, please contact me at cgannon@dioceseofgreensburg.org or ext. 11. Thank You, Christine M Gannon Coordinator of Religious Education Saint Bruno Church
7 Saint Bruno Church- Faith Formation 1729 Poplar Street South Greensburg, Pennsylvania ext fax Dear Parents and Guardians, Welcome to the second grade year of faith formation. This is a very exciting school year leading your child towards the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. Continuing with the conformity that Bishop Lawrence Brandt and the Diocese of Greensburg implemented years ago concerning the institution of Confirmation. This sacrament will be administered at the age of 13, grade 8. Your child will be preparing for First Holy Communion and Reconciliation in Continuing religious education instruction is recommended for all students in order to be fully instituted into the Church. Continuing our preparation this year for the sacraments we will be exploring in many ways the specifics of Confession and Eucharist. I have a schedule of meetings that will be held during our regular Sunday time for parent/student formation. Attached is a schedule of dates and topics that will be discussed. Along with the textbooks, your child will work in the classroom on bible scripture as well as hands on with sacred vessels of the Church, handout sheets, portfolio books and their faith vocabulary words. Occasionally, homework and extra credit will be sent home for your child to complete and return. Here is to a great year! I can be reached at anytime to answer questions that may arise throughout the year at cgannon@dioceseofgreensburg.org or at ext 11. Peace, Christine M. Gannon Coordinator of Religious Education- Saint Bruno Church
