2 SHORT BIOGRAPHY Dr. Eyvaz is a Research Assistant of Environmental Engineering Department (ENVE) at Gebze Institute of Technology (GIT). He received his bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering from Kocaeli University in Turkey in He completed his graduate work (M.Sc., 2006 and Ph.D., 2013) at Gebze Institute of Technology in Environmental Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Mehmet KOBYA, Assoc Prof. in ENVE-GIT (for M.Sc.), and of Dr. Ebubekir YÜKSEL, Assoc Prof. in ENVE-GIT and Dr. Ömer AKGİRAY, Professor and Chair of ENVE at Marmara University, (for Ph. D.). Dr. Eyvaz has been in Environmental Engineering Department of GIT as a research assistant (2005-present). His research interests are applications in water and wastewater treatment facilities, especially electrochemical treatment process and filtration systems at lab. and pilot scale. He has published his findings in the premier journals of his field, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Separation and Purification Technology, and Chemical Engineering Journal. He has produced more than 10 peer-reviewed publications (cited over 150 times) with an h index of 4. He serves as an editor in 4 various journals and a reviewer in 27 various journals indexed in SCI or SCI-E. Dr. Eyvaz and his co-authors peer-reviewed publications have continuously and increasingly been cited. By December 2013, the total of citations to Dr. Eyvaz s journal publications is 157 and 236 according to Web of Science and Google Scholars databases, respectively, and his h-index* is 4 and 5 according to both databases, respectively. These citation numbers belongs to only research papers without including any review paper. *The h-index is an index that attempts to measure both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar. A scholar with an index of h has published h papers each of which has been cited in other papers at least h times.
