4 Why Risk Management Risk management is the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks followed by coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate events (ISO 31000) Safe Havens and Duty of Care to exercise care and due diligence, that a reasonable person would exercise Ensures organizational resilience through anticipating, communicating, and preparing for events / hazards Sound organizational practice that aligns planning, preparedness, program evaluation, process improvement, and budget priority development.
