12 BETTER MEANS A WIDE RANGE OF POSSIBILITIES The new FORMICA Washroom Collection designs can be easily mixed and matched to bring a contemporary and innovative air to environments. A total of 52 designs, 25 of them new, offer you a wide and colourful range of possibilities to choose from. In addition, the new collection introduces three new fi nishes: Plex TM (red dot design award), Puregrain TM and Linewood TM, bringing surfaces to life with the touch of crisp textiles and brushed, natural timber. 10

13 Descriptions, certifi cates and features Formica Compact is a high pressure structural laminate, built up from multiple layers of kraft paper to produce a laminate in thicknesses from 2mm to 20mm. It has a decorative face on both sides and is ideal for interior use in washroom cubicles or locker systems, wall panels or laboratory furniture. It is particularly suited to use in high humidity, high impact areas. With a weight of 14,5 kg/m 2 (for 10mm thickness), Compact (grade CGS) is impressively strong and damage resistant and has remarkable structural stability, requiring no substrate support in thicknesses over 6mm. Formica Compact is certifi ed by the CE Mark to meet or exceed conformity with European consumer safety, health and environmental requirements. Formica High Pressure Laminate (HPL) is manufactured through fusing multiple layers of impregnated paper under high pressure and temperature to create a hard wearing, durable and hygienic surfacing material. The Formica Colors, Patterns and Woods ranges are high pressure laminates which are available in horizontal, general purpose, postforming grade (HGP) as standard. Younique by Formica Group is a High Pressure Laminate with a customised, printed image as its decorative face. The printed image in Younique laminates is incorporated in the laminate structure and not just printed on the surface; this affords a much greater resistance to damage and ease of maintenance. Younique laminates can be either single sided, thin High Pressure Laminate, or Compact in single sided or double sided format in varying thicknesses and textures.
