The usual white flowers. Biennial. ARALIA cordata Sun King Bright golden foliage above which rise spikes of white flowers followed by black fruit. Shade and not too dry. BIDENS aurea 5' 5.10 Excellent upright plant flowering from late summer to the frosts. White daisy flowers top the stems covered with ferny foliage. BORAGO pygmaea 15" 4.80 Bright blue flowers, fading to pink with age. Sprawling. BRUNNERA macrophylla 'Betty Bowring' Pure white flowered form. Plain green leaves. BRUNNERA macrophylla 'Jack Frost' AGM 18" 5.50 Leaves suffused with silver and edged with dark green. The usual blue flowers in spring. Eye catching. PBR BRUNNERA macrophylla Kings Ransom Wide creamy edge to the leaves which are also slightly silver. Smaller growing than other Brunneras. PBR BRUNNERA macrophylla 'Looking Glass' AGM Completely silver leaves, blue flowers in spring. Excellent shade plant. PBR BRUNNERA macrophylla 'Mr Morse' 18" 5.50 Another good new variety, large silvery leaves like 'Jack Frost' but with white flowers in spring. PBR BRUNNERA macrophylla 'Silver Wings' 16" 5.50 Large leaves marked with silver. Again, a very useful vigorous shade plant. Blue flowers in spring. Page 9 of 57

CALAMINTHA nepeta subsp. nepeta Heavily scented foliage, lilac flowers in spikes. Very attractive even when the flowers are over and the purplishbrown calyx remain. CAMASSIA leichtlinii 'Alba' 3' 4.90 Slender spires of starry white blooms. Flowers in early summer and excellent naturalised in grass. CAMASSIA leichtlinii 'Semiplena' 2'3" 4.90 Creamy white, semi-double flowers. The last to flower here in June. CAMPANULA alliariifolia Heart-shaped leaves form a clump from which rise stems hung with cream bells in mid Summer. CAMPANULA glomerata 'Caroline' AGM 2' 5.00 From a rosette of foliage stems support tight clusters of shell pink flowers, marked with mauve. A useful colour form. CAMPANULA Iridescent Bells NEW Deep purple buds open to soft lavender flowers from June to the frosts CAMPANULA 'Kent Belle' AGM 2' 5.00 Tubular bells of dark blue in late summer. CAMPANULA lactiflora 'Loddon Anna' AGM 4' 5.20 As 'Prichard s Variety' but with flesh-pink flowers. CHAMERION angustifolia alba 5' 5.10 (syn. EPILOBIUM angustifolium var. album ). The white form of rosebay willow-herb. Spires of white flowers on this plant with running roots. CHAMERION angustifolia 'Stahl Rose' 2'6" 5.10 Lovely, large pink flowers with a darker eye on this willow-herb. Not too spreading and very pretty in late summer to autumn. CHELONE oblique Lilac pink flowers in early autumn are very welcome. The name 'Turtlehead' is supposed to describe the flowers CHRYSANTHEMUM 'Anastasia' 2'6" 5.00 Heather-pink button flowers in late October. CHRYSANTHEMUM 'Bronze Elegance' AGM 2'6" 5.00 A mass of small bronze pom poms in late October into November. CHRYSANTHEMUM 'Paul Bossier' 3' 5.00 Semi-double flowers of a beautiful rusty orange. CHRYSANTHEMUM 'Purliegh White' 2' 5.00 Tiny white button flowers with a pink tinge. Flowers in October and survives the worst weather. CIMICIFUGA have been re-named as ACTAEA CIRSIUM heterophyllum Pink Blush NEW White thistle heads tipped with pink. Very pretty. Green foliage with silver backing. CIRSIUM rivulare 'Atropurpureum' 4' 5.20 A thistle with dark red flowers in June make it a useful plant. If cut down you get another crop of flowers in autumn. Page 12 of 57

Small, soft yellow hanging bells in late summer until the frost. Prune hard. CLEMATIS tubulosa Wyvale Large fragrant blue flowers on strong stems in early autumn. CLERODENDRON bungei Upright stems topped with clusters of small pink flowers. Very useful flowering in autumn. CONVALLARIA majalis Albostriata Cream striped leaves and scented, white, lily-of-the-valley flowers in May. Good in shade that is not too dry. CONVALLARIA majalis prolificans 9" 5.50 Double, white, lily-of the-valley, fragrant and good in shade. Flowers in early summer. CONVALLARIA majalis var. rosea 9" 4.90 A lily-of the valley with small, fragrant, pinkish flowers. CONVOLVULUS ceneorum AGM Silver-leaved shrub with pale pink flowers. Not very hardy but worth taking cuttings, as the foliage is excellent. CRAMBE maritima 2' 5.50 The most wonderful large grey leaves with a head of tiny white flowers in early summer. CROCOSMIA x crocosmiiflora George Davidson Masses of yellow flowers. CROCOSMIA x crocosmiiflora Zeal Tan Bright orange flowers with a yellow eye. CROCOSMIA 'Fire King' 2' 5.00 Dark green leaves. Stout stems support purple thistleheads which are excellent. DAHLIA coccinea hybrids Single flowers ranging from deep orange to red in late summer. Grown from seed. DAHLIA 'Honka' AGM 2' 5.20 Clear yellow, single flowers with narrow petals, looking rather spidery. DAHLIA merkii 3' 5.30 Single lilac flowers on a slender elegant plant. Seems hardy but may need a peat covering in a very hard winter. DAHLIA 'Twyning's After Eight' AGM 3' 5.30 Almost black foliage, wonderful white flowers, even if you don't like Dahlias you will love this one! DARMERA peltata AGM 3' 5.10 The umbrella plant has leaves 12 across appearing after the starry pink flowers. Makes a creeping rhizome and thrives in damp soil. DIANTHUS barbatus Monksilver Black NEW Black evergreen foliage and almost black flowers in mid-summer DIANTHUS carthusianorum Tall pink with clusters of rosy pink flowers most of the summer. Needs sun and well drained conditions. DIANTHUS Mrs Sinkins Good grey foliage. Shaggy fragrant white flowers. DIANTHUS Old Red Clove One of the most fragrant pinks. Deep red flowers. Good and tough.
