Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not breathe dust or spray mist. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reaction in some individuals. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash clothing before reuse. Avoid handling the inner bag as moisture will cause breakage. Do not graze or feed animals on cover crops grown in treated areas. Avoid contamination of food, feedstuffs, and domestic water supplies. Potential Health Effects Based on animal data, skin contact with Vendex 50% WP may cause skin irritation with discomfort or rash. Based on animals data, eye contact with Vendex 50% WP may cause eye corrosion with corneal or conjunctival ulceration. Based on animal data, inhalation of Vendex 50% WP may cause irritation of the upper respiratory passages; temporary lung irritation effects with cough, discomfort, difficulty breathing, or shortness of breath. Based on animal data, ingestion of Vendex 50% WP may cause nonspecific discomfort, such as nausea, headache, or weakness; higher exposures may lead to abnormal kidney function as detected by laboratory tests. Individuals with preexisting diseases of the lungs may have increased susceptibility to the toxicity of excessive exposures. Carcinogenicity Information None of the components present in this material at concentrations equal to or greater than 0.1% are listed by IARC, NTP, OSHA or ACGIH as a carcinogen.

3 M DuPont Page 3 FIRST AID MEASURES First Aid IF SWALLOWED: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. IF ON SKIN OR CLOTHING: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15 to 20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. IF INHALED: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice. IF IN EYES: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first five minutes, then continue rinsing. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice. Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Flammable Properties Not a fire or explosion hazard. Like most organic powders or crystals, under severe dusting conditions, this material may form explosive mixtures in air. 4 M DuPont Page 4 Fire Fighting Instructions (FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES - Continued) Keep personnel removed and upwind of fire. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective equipment. Use water spray. Run-off from fire control may be a pollution hazard. If area is heavily exposed to fire and conditions permit, let fire burn itself out since water may increase the contamination hazard. Burning chemicals may produce by-products more toxic than the original material. If product is on fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective equipment. Use water spray. Control run-off. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Safeguards (Personnel) NOTE: Review FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES and HANDLING (PERSONNEL) sections before proceeding with clean-up. Use appropriate PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT during clean-up. Emergency Response - Chemical resistant coveralls, waterproof gloves, waterproof boots and face/eye protection. If dusting occurs, use NIOSH approved respirator protection. Initial Containment Follow applicable Federal, State/Provincial and Local laws/ regulations. Prevent material from entering sewers, waterways, or low areas. Spill Clean Up Shovel or sweep up. Dispose of in an approved container. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling (Personnel) USERS SHOULD: Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. Remove personal protective equipment immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.

5 M DuPont Page 5 Handling (Physical Aspects) Avoid dust generation. (HANDLING AND STORAGE - Continued) This is a water-dispersible product. It may be packaged in a premeasured water-soluble packet which readily dissolves in water. Exposure to moisture or excessive handling of the soluble packets will cause them to break. Storage Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage. Store in a secure, dry and temperate area. Keep container closed when not in use. Do not store near food or feed. Do not use or store around the home. Avoid contact with water. In case of spill or leak, soak up with sand, earth or synthetic absorbent and dispose of wastes in compliance with local, State and Federal regulations. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION Engineering Controls When handlers use closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that meets the requirements listed in the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 CFR part (d)(4-6)], the handler PPE requirements may be reduced or modified as specified in the WPS. Personal Protective Equipment Applicators and other handlers must wear: - Coveralls over short sleeve shirt and short pants. - Socks and chemical-resistant shoes. - Chemical-resistant gloves (category A). - Protective eyewear (goggles, face shield, or safety glasses). - Chemical-resistant headgear. - NIOSH approved respirator with any R, P or HE filter. - For cleaning equipment, add a chemical-resistant apron. Discard clothing or other absorbent materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this product s concentrate. Do not reuse them. Follow manufacturer s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. PPE required for early entry to treated areas that is permitted under the Worker Protection Standard and that involves contact with anything that has been treated, such

7 M DuPont Page 7 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION # Animal Data Vendex 50% WP Skin absorption LD50: > 2,000 mg/kg in rats Oral LD50: > 5000 mg/kg in rats Inhalation 4 hour LC50: 0.05 mg/l in rats Inhalation 1 hour LC50: 1.7 mg/l in rats Vendex 50% WP is a moderate to severe skin irritant, is corrosive in the eye, but is untested for animal sensitization. Repeated dermal exposures with Vendex 50% WP caused irritation without evidence of systemic toxicity. Ingestion of the active ingredient, Fenbutatin, produces nonspecific effects such as weight loss and irritation, minor changes in blood chemistry, and changes in kidney and testes weights. No pathological organ changes have been reported. Tests in animals on the active ingredient, Fenbutatin, demonstrate no carcinogenic activity. Fenbutatin does not produce genetic damage in bacterial or mammalian cell or in animals. Tests in some animals indicate that Fenbutatin may have developmental and reproductive toxicity, but only at levels toxic to the adult animal. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Ecotoxicological Information AQUATIC TOXICITY: FENBUTATIN-OXIDE 96 hour LC50 - Bluegill sunfish: mg/l. 96 hour LC50 - Rainbow trout: mg/l DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Waste Disposal Treatment, storage, transportation, and disposal must be in accordance with applicable Federal, State/Provincial, and Local regulations. Do not flush to surface water or sanitary sewer system. Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture, or rinsate is a violation of Federal law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of by use according to label instructions, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA regional office for guidance.

Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present, or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Drift from runoff from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters or rinsate. Container Disposal Completely empty contents of envelope into application equipment. Then dispose of empty envelope in a sanitary landfill, or, if allowed by State and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay out of smoke.
