1 Newsletterr December, 2012 Issue Remembering God in 2012 and Looking Ahead A Journey of Thankfulness Director s Report As we prepare for the four-year anniversary of IHOP Jax on the Riverwalk, we want to thank our friends and partners for their support and cooperation in establishing Jacksonville as a city of prayer. We would also like to share some milestones that your support has helped us to accomplish. We commissioned a chief musician who organized a new team to lead our music intensives and harp and bowl training. We have offered over 800 hours of training to our community in Jacksonville and sent out 10 volunteers to the mission field or to receive further formal ministry training. We hosted the IHOP - KC students during spring break and prayed 24/7 for one week. We offered our first six week internship program. We began harp and bowl training for children. Thank you for partnering with us at IHOP Jax. We do appreciate your love, prayers, and support. - Carlos Bosque The prayer room was open for over 2,500 hours during the last year. We have 51 new volunteers; this represents over 40% growth in active worship leaders, singers, musicians, and intercessors. Page i

2 Kid s Harp and Bowl Our very first Kid's Harp and Bowl Training, directed by Natacha Bosque and Teresa Heath, began in January of this year. We are laying a foundation in these children for building a life of enjoyable prayer and a deep, satisfying and intimate relationship with the Lord. There has been much care given to encourage and foster the children s relationship with Holy Spirit. In times of waiting on Him together, Holy Spirit has been faithful to reveal the Father's heart to the children and teach them about their identity in Him. Through all of this, the children are being equipped to be effectual, fervent prayer leaders whose prayers avail much! The kids have begun to pray on regular IHOP Jax sets and, beginning in January, 2013, the children will be praying on sets on a regular basis. - Teresa Heath IHOPU Came to IHOP Jax Thank You Emily & Leo Jacksonville to preach, worship and minister to several church youth groups, culminating in a day long youth conference! We are honored and grateful for each student who offered up their spring break vacation to the place of intercession for our city. Thank you to the IHOPU senior leadership for choosing Jacksonville to siege with prayer and worship, and special thanks to Emily King and Leo Alves, IHOPU student leaders, for coordinating the IHOPU student activities. Mark Pullen Commissioning Service and Building Dedication During the month of March 2012, a group of 26 students from the IHOP University drove to Jacksonville from Kansas City to help IHOP Jax facilitate 24 hour prayer for nearly a week. This was a powerful time of worship and intercession that lasted non-stop for 124 hours, day and night. The team, while sustaining prayer at IHOP Jax, also sent groups around In April, we were honored to have Dan Duke speak at a special commissioning and building dedication service at IHOP Jax. Dan, while laying hands on our board members, singers, musicians, and staff, prayed for an impartation of grace, peace, faith, provision, and a greater joy in serving the Lord at IHOP Jax. Many were touched in a very special way as they were consecrated and commissioned to Page ii

3 serve the Lord through their voice and instruments. During the service Kelanie Gloeckler was officially set in place as the IHOP Jax Chief Musician. Dan used Psalm 46, To the Chief Musician, which in Hebrew means the glistening one, to commission and set Kelanie apart as the leader of worship and prayer at IHOP Jax. We are thankful that the Lord moved on the hearts of our summer interns, and we look forward to having more internships in the future that unveil the heart of God for His Bride. - Mark Pullen - Mark Pullen IHOP Jax Internship Earlier this year, June 4th - July 14th, we held our first IHOP Jax summer Internship. Nine interns committed 20 hours a week for the 6 week program, which included worship, prayer, and teaching. In addition to the interns, many others enrolled in individual courses, which were held in the evenings. Several members of the leadership team, including Carlos Bosque, Monica Bosque, and Sean Killingsworth taught on intimacy with God and our identity in Christ. The manuals and recordings from these courses are for sale in our bookstore. Guest speakers and other staff taught lessons on the practical aspects of prayer, worship, and walking out a life of prayer. Dawn Hollingsworth, a summer intern, testified, "God used the internship to give me understanding that I can be intimate with God again, and that it doesn't have to be seen as a duty, but as a real relationship." Kim Kibo, another intern, stated that, "During the internship, God impressed upon me that all redemption, all revival, all healing, and all miracles were from Him. God IHOP Jax Interns Chief Musician s Report Kelanie Gloeckler I am happy to report a real acceleration and growing excitement for worship at IHOP Jax as a result of the new Monday Equipping Nights, which began in August. As a result of the Monday night training, many new worship leaders, singers, musicians, and prayer leaders have joined our community. This has generated renewed enthusiasm and a fresh anointing on worship and prayer at IHOP Jax. Page iii

4 The training sessions include Harp & Bowl Training on the first Monday of the month, Harp & Bowl Intensives on the last Monday of the month, and Music and Prayer Intensives on the remaining Monday evenings. Music intensives focus on topics such as worship team dynamics, prophetic worship choir, and spontaneous singing. The entire Monday training schedule is available for viewing on the IHOP Jax website. For those who would like to get trained up and plugged in, Harp & Bowl Training followed by Harp & Bowl Intensive is the best way to get started. Once trained, opportunities for practice with experienced teams will be provided. This helps singers and musicians learn how to flow in the Spirit and work together as a choir in joyful, spontaneous, and prophetic worship. After completing this initial training, new people have the opportunity to continue to learn through practicum experiences in which they join with existing teams during regular worship sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. This training is being offered with guidance from the Chief Musician s leadership team. The leadership team includes Teresa Heath, Anna Heath, Georges Dumaine, Mark Pullen, Brian Wages, and Amy Hollingsworth. In addition to Monday Equipping Nights, we have held three awesome quarterly Worship Community Gatherings. The third gathering was held on Saturday November 17 th at IHOP Jax. At these assemblies we have an opportunity to celebrate all of the new and exciting things that are happening. God is blessing these times of sharing and fellowship. The Israel Mandate Conference Nearly 200 people attended the Israel Mandate Conference at IHOP Jax on September 28th and 29th. We were blessed to have Wes Hall, the Provost of IHOP University in Kansas City, who spoke about the critical importance of Israel to God, and His plan for the last days of earth. Kelanie Gloeckler, Amy Hollingsworth, and Nicole Hinson led worship and sang "Catch Us Up in Your Story," which was Wes Hall's theme about Israel. 5 Katherine Eibel and Elizabeth Maher from IHOP KC also spoke and the IHOP Jax Israel Mandate Team (John Meisburg, Jackson Downey, Clay Cross, and Bo Brewer) prayed for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of the Jewish people. We made a major statement in the heavens about our love for Israel. The conference sessions, including intercession cycles, are for sale in the IHOP Jax bookstore. Judge John Meisburg One Thing Orlando Conference On January 18 th and 19 th, 2013, the Orlando House of Prayer will host a Onething Conference at the Church of the Son. Mike Bickle, Wes Hall, and Carlos Sarmiento will be speaking at the sessions with Misty Edwards and Matt Gilman leading worship. There will be a children s track as well where children ages 6 12 come with their families and are taught the same message as the adults but at an ageappropriate level. Children s Equipping Center (CEC) tracks are available during all main sessions. Registration is required for adults and children.
