Information about departing and arriving flights can be found on the flight information board and the display screens in the departures and arrivals halls and in most airport restaurants. Internet On you ll find information about the departure and arrival times of all flights, as well as the many shops, bars, restaurants and services at Brussels Airport. Additionally you ll find information about the companies that offer passenger and cargo services at Brussels Airport. The website gives an overview of the many destinations you can reach from Brussels Airport, together th practical tips and a selection of travel destinations and accommodation possibilities. Car From the Brussels ring road follow the signs Zaventem/ Brussel Nationaal. At Brussels Airport finding a parking space is easy. All year round we offer a range of parking products tailored to the needs of each customer. The parking offer includes short-term and long-term parking as well as special parking services such as VIP parking or extra secure parking. Most car parks provide dedicated parking spaces for the disabled. On the departure and arrival curbs dedicated spaces are provided where the disabled can park for a short while. Car parks at walking distance Within walking distance from the passenger terminal no less than 10,600 spaces are available 24/7. Less than 3 hours: Express Park. Fee: 2,20 per 30 min. Short term (1 to 3 days): Front Parks 1, 2 & 3. The 3 Front Parks (P1, P2, P3) are located opposite the passenger terminal and are very convenient for a parking duration of up to 3 days. Fees: max per hour & max. 20 per day. Access height: 2,10 m; P2: 1,90m; P3: 2,10 m. Long term (>3 days): Front Parks 2 & 3 As from the third day a reduced daily fee applies in Front Parks P2 and P3. Fee: max. 15 per day. Promotions (weekend & week stays) Brussels Airport regularly offers promotions on one of the 3 Front Parks. A free shuttle service runs every 10 minutes between the Q-Park Car Hotel and the passenger terminal. Fee: 13 per day (from 00:00 till 23:59). 12 per day as from day 7. 4 Accessibility Baggage Motorbikes Free camera-monitored parking facilities are available at the coach park P15a on level 0 for motorbikes, mopeds and bicycles. Taxis Taxis are permanently available in front of the arrivals hall. The average fare from Brussels Airport to downtown Brussels is 35. Always take a taxi th a yellow/blue licence emblem. Wheelchair users can reserve a taxi th Hendriks: Tel Limousine service Airport Forum provides limousine services. Tel Train The train station of Brussels Airport is located on level -1. The Brussels Airport Express runs up to 4 times an hour to Brussels-North, Brussels-Central and Brussels-Midi station. From these stations, you can connect to any other city in Belgium. The trip to the city centre takes less than 20 minutes. A one-way ticket in second class costs 2.80 ( 4.30 in first class). Brussels Airport offers direct train services to Ghent/ De Panne, Leuven/Landen, Mons/Quévy. For more information please contact NMBS/SNCB: Tel Baggage allowances Airlines limit the amount of baggage you can take th you (the number of suitcases, weight and size). If you exceed these limits, extra charges may apply. Please note that a single piece of baggage may never weigh more than 32 kg. Hand baggage You may take only one piece of hand baggage into the cabin which must fit into the overhead baggage compartments. In addition you may usually take a handbag, Travel Value and Tax Free goods, a camera etc. Some electrical devices, such as mobile phones may be taken on board, but their use in the aircraft cabin is often restricted. Tips Always keep your baggage and hand baggage thin eyesight and see to it that they are labelled both on the inside and outside th your name and address. Make sure fragile items are securely wrapped. Make sure to carry valuables, photo and film equipment and important documents in your hand baggage. Prohibited items, liquids and gels According to aviation regulations certain objects are prohibited on board (e.g. weapons and dangerous products). Other items that are carried in the hand luggage and/or in the hold luggage may be subject to restrictions. The follong items are NOT allowed as hand luggage and ll be confiscated by the screening agent. However you are allowed to carry them in your hold luggage: handcuffs, pointed weapons, ski sticks, sharp walking sticks, gasses, shock absorbers,... liquids and gels (e.g. drinks, perfumes, creams, toothpaste, syrups, ). You are allowed to carry them in the hand luggage if you have bought them in one of the airport shops or bars beyond the security checkpoint. 5 Baggage Lost & found Baggage lockers Baggage lockers for small baggage Lockers are located on level 0 (bus station) on the left when leaving the terminal building. The use of the lockers costs 7.50 per 24 hours. Lockers are also available on level 0 and 1 in the shopping area of Pier A. The use of these small lockers costs 5 per 24 hours. You can also rent one for a shorter period at a fee of 1 for 30 min, 2 for 1 hour and 3 for 2 hours. Baggage lockers for oversized baggage Lockers are located on level 0 (bus station level) on the left when leaving the terminal building. The storage of oversized items costs 7.50 per 24 hours for 3 pieces. For each additional piece an additional 2.50 is charged. 6 Special care and assistance Special care and assistance Passengers needing special assistance Passengers th small children, visually or hearing-impaired persons, elderly persons, wheelchair users, patients in need of special care (oxygen, etc...) may apply for special assistance at the airport. Always inform your airline or Airport Caddy that you need assistance at least 48 hours prior to your flight. Tel info@airportcaddy.be Special meals during the flight Special meals (for medical, religious or other reasons) can usually be provided on board. Please specify your requirements when booking your flight. Baby food and children s menus can also be provided. Prescriptions and vaccinations Make sure you have enough prescription medicines th you and that you have a copy of your prescriptions. Always carry these in your hand baggage. Vaccination certificates may be required for your journey. Check th your airline or travel agent. Check th your doctor if you have any doubts about your ability to fly. It is also recommended to advise your airline about your medical condition. Unaccompanied minors Most airlines accept unaccompanied minors. These enjoy a specific and individual assistance. Strict conditions apply. Please check th your airline and always expressly mention this when making the reservation. Pregnancy Usually airlines refuse to carry pregnant passengers after their 36 th week of pregnancy. A medical certificate is required after the 28 th week for some airlines already after the 24 th week. Babies You need to specify the fact that you are travelling th babies or small children when booking your flight, as some airlines limit the number of babies on their flights. Some airlines provide special seats or cots for children under the age of 2. Baby-changing facilities are available at Brussels Airport (see map). For heating up baby food, you can find what you need in several restaurants at Brussels Airport: Wingtips, Brussels Plaza, Milestone en Brussels Café. Check-in Departure times You should arrive at Brussels Airport well ahead of your flight departure time to allow for pre-boarding procedures. Check-in times ll be communicated when you make your reservation. The time indicated on your ticket is the time the aircraft is scheduled to leave the gate. Please allow the follong times for: Flights inside Europe: be at Brussels Airport at least 1 hour in advance. Flights outside Europe: be at Brussels Airport at least 2 hours in advance. Flights to the USA: please check th you travel agent or airline. For charter flights: please check th you travel agent or tour operator. Check-in desks These are located in the departures hall. The large flight information boards in the departures hall indicate the appropriate check-in row for each flight

7 Check-in Shops, bars and restaurants Passport & Visa Your airline ll verify the validity of your passport or visa when you check in. If your documents are not valid, you ll not be allowed to board the plane. Keep in mind that the delivery of a passport or visa may take several days, if not weeks. Submit your application well in advance. Children also need valid documents th proof of identity. Please check th your airline or travel agent. Customs All passengers may be checked by customs agents. Their offices are located in the departures hall. Security controls Registered baggage and hand baggage are subject to pre-boarding security checks and X-ray screenings. These screenings are harmless to film/video equipment or electronic devices. Lounges Several airlines have their own lounges that are open to First and Business class passengers. The lounges are all located in the transit area. Opening times From 30 minutes before the first flight until 15 minutes before the last flight at least one restaurant/bar and one retail outlet for alcohol, tobacco, perfumes,... ll be open. Tax Free & Travel Value Passengers travelling to a final destination thin the European Union: Austria Belgium Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France (and Monaco) Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Italy Latvia Lithuania Luxembourg Malta The Netherlands Poland Portugal (incl. the Azores and Madeira) Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden United Kingdom (incl. Isle of Man) benefit from the advantageous Travel Value prices. These prices are the same as Tax Free, except for a number of products including spirits and tobacco, which are sold at Belgian downtown retail prices. Passengers travelling to a final destination outside the European Union benefit from Tax Free prices. Your boarding pass is proof of your destination. You ll need to show it at the cash desk. Animals Only dogs and cats may travel as registered baggage, provided they are carried in an approved animal container. Always check th your airline. For some animals a certificate is needed. 8 On arrival On arrival Arriving baggage The registered baggage from all flights arrives in the baggage reclaim area. Information screens indicate the baggage carousel for each incoming flight. The handling agents see to it that your baggage is made available as quickly as possible on the baggage carousel in the baggage reclaim. In the vicinity of the airport you ll find a range of 16 hotels in various price categories. Most hotels offer a free shuttle service (*). Hotel shuttles leave from the airport coach park (level 0). All other hotels can easily be reached by cab or by public transport.
