Tried and tested 3-phase AC technology 3-phase AC current is a type of alternating current from the regular mains supply a million times tried and tested in all industry sectors. 3-phase AC motors are advantageous due to a reduced number of components and wearing parts. They therefore are considerably more productive, reliable and cost-effective. The problem until the beginning of the 90 s was that batteries for electric trucks only supplied direct current. Advantages of 3-phase AC current: Lower cost than direct current technology. Virtually maintenance-free through omission of carbon brushes and travel direction contactors. Travel direction change without pause. Robust dust and humidity resistant drive motor. CanDis CanCode Precise monitoring with CanDis control display CanDis (optional) informs the operator about battery charge, number of operating hours and fault codes. Keyless access and adjustable travel characteristics with CanCode (optional) Activation via four to six digit PIN instead of an ignition key allowing only authorised personnel access to the truck. Three selectable travel programmes. Individual travel parameters can be set independently. Time-controlled automatic switch-off to prevent unauthorised access. Safety in corners with Jungheinrich Curve Control The truck speed whilst cornering is automatically reduced if the angle is too tight for that speed. 4 More operating stability with ProTracLink suspension ProTracLink connects the support wheels with a torsion bar. The advantages become particularly obvious on uneven floors and ramps: No instability in operation. Possible faults are self-correcting. The centrifugal forces are distributed between the support wheels as required evenly distributed during straight travel and concentrated on the outer support wheel during cornering. When approaching a ramp from the side, the freely suspended support wheel does not hit the ramp and provides additional protection. Safe speed regulation through electronic SpeedControl SpeedControl provides excellent safety and effortless travel speed control in every situation. Roll-back protection on gradients through automatically activated brake. Constant travel speed on gradients. Energy reclamation through regenerative braking. Particularly gentle, smooth operation. Adjustable to different travel parameters (e.g. acceleration and braking). Travelling with tiller in upright position is possible via crawl speed button With the crawl speed button, pedestrian operated trucks can be manoeuvred effortlessly and safely in the most confined spaces. Here the travel speed is automatically reduced to slow travel. Less wear on fork tips Travelling with the forks lowered causes frequent problems during empty runs in intensive applications on ramps. If door sills or ramp edges are crossed, the forks wear very quickly. A new steering mode prevents this. Steering automatically changes to slow travel when the forks are lowered. The objective is to get the driver to raise the forks and thus effectively stop the forks from wearing. Ergonomic tiller heads Effortless control via the tiller easily adjusted to the respective hand position during pedestrian or ride-on operation. Faster throughput due to direct control of all travel and lift functions without reaching round. Optimum protection of the operator s hands due to all-round enclosure. Intuitive operation with clearly colour coded system and buttons with abrasion-proof symbols. Large operator safety gap with long tiller The low mounted long tiller on all Jungheinrich pedestrian trucks ensures the required operator safety gap to the truck. 5 Shock absorber system ShockProtect The patented shock absorber system ShockProtect significantly reduces jolts and so protects the operator, machine and load. The stand-on platform is completely unaffected by uneven floors. Operator benefits are spine protection and comfortable standing position on the platform with extra cushioning. Truck benefits are protection for the running gear and the entire chassis. Effortless control with SmartPilot The SmartPilot provides the best conditions for internal and external efficient and safe operation throughout the shift. The contactless sensor system ensures safety inside. Outside, the tiller impresses with its compact shape (without tiller arm) and ergonomic rocker switch as well as with a clearly colour coded system that makes intuitive control even more effortless. The electric steering ensures significantly lower steering forces and steadier straight travel with its reduced steering characteristics. Operator protection according to EU standard For the protection of operators, the EU has passed the user regulation 2002/ 44/EU Vibration. In this regulation, the EU prescribes the total volume of vibrations per day that an operator can be subjected to at his workplace. The responsibility for adhering to this regulation lies solely with the user. Jungheinrich supports its customers with this strongly in mind. Powerful performer in any situation The 3-phase AC drive motor ensures full top speed of 6 km/h with and without load. Short chassis length Add about 70 mm to the width of this double page and you will get the approximate chassis length (L2 dimension*) of the EJE 1 Series: 494 mm. And there is a lot to the truck! Despite this extremely short length, 1 Series is full of technical advantages making daily operations faster, simpler and more economical especially when taken on a lorry. * The L2 dimension of the standard version (S) is 494 mm; the L2 dimension of the long version (M) is 565 mm. Easy battery charging The integrated charger (optional) allows easy charging or top-up charging during operation. Battery capacities of up to 250 Ah particularly for long operating times are available. Mast lift for back-friendly order picking The Jungheinrich EJE C20 is a pedestrian pallet truck based on the EJE. Its special feature: any load to be order-picked is effortlessly lifted to a back-friendly picking height. The capacity is 700 kg a practical capacity for partly picked loads. Due to separate operation of support arm and mast lift (optional), simple stacking tasks such as taking off a half pallet can be easily carried out. Short chassis for easy manoeuvring The construction of the EJE C20 is specially adapted to confined spaces. Due to a mast integrated in the battery compartment, the EJE C20 has a chassis length which is only slightly longer than that of a conventional pallet truck. Together with the crawl speed button, the EJE C20 is suitable for manoeuvring in confined spaces. Skids for enclosed pallets Skids on both fork tips make it easier to pick up perimeter base pallets. 8 The strength of the EJE : Highest productivity with heavy loads. The power package for power on ramps. Very heavy loads Working in the most demanding conditions with heavy loads, especially during lorry loading and unloading or during the transport of loads, is an EJE 2 Series speciality. A chassis with sideways battery removal is available for multi-shift operations. Very powerful drive motor The powerful drive motor of the EJE 2 Series does not differentiate between whether the truck is with our without load. The trucks reach their maximum travel speed of 6 km/h even when fully loaded. Very strong chassis The 8 mm strong chassis underpins longterm high productivity in the warehouse and in production, during hard continuous applications on ramps, in two or three shift operation or when loading and unloading lorries. Other advantages are the torsion-resistant forks and skids on the forks to protect against wear. 9 More EJE variants: Special designs. Ramp lift Sloping loading ramps for loading and unloading of the first pallet row on lorries or wagons are no problem for the EJE 220r/222r. Both trucks have a patented ramp lift in addition to the normal lift. This allows fork levelling on ramps and gradients of up to 15%. Stainless steel design Especially for high hygiene in the food and pharmaceutical industries: EJE i20/ i25 with chassis and mast made of stainless steel. Slanted surfaces and generous apertures ensure unobstructed draining of detergents after cleaning/disinfecting. Additionally sealed or protected components allow operation in humid environments. The EJE i25 can also be supplied with two drive motors for particularly difficult floor conditions. High-quality stainless steel also provides a corrosion-resistant surface in a demanding environment

10 The advantage of the ERE 120: High travel comfort plus high flexibility. The choice between ride-on or pedestrian operation. Space-saving utilisation The ERE 120 is particularly compact and ideally suited for flexible and easy rideon operation on ramps as well as for transporting loads of up to 2000 kg over medium distances. In tight spaces, the platform and side protection can be folded into the contours of the truck making the ERE even shorter for easy manoeuvring in the narrowest aisles. The maximum speed with folded in side protection is limited to 6 km/h. Low cost operation The stand-on platform and side protection are folded out effortlessly for transport over longer distances. The maximum travel speed here is 8.5 km/h. This results in significantly higher throughput than for comparable ride-on trucks. Sideways battery removal is available for multi-shift operation. Excellent safety with side protection For special operator protection e.g. during frequent reverse travel the ERE 120 is also available with fixed stand-on platform and integrated side protection (optional). 11 The strength of the ERE 225: High travel comfort plus high productivity. Transporting heavy loads in comfort. Higher speed, more productivity, more safety The ERE 225 achieves a top speed of 12.5 km/h without load. Added to this is high acceleration: The ERE 225 achieves 95% of its top speed after only 10 m. The advantage is that throughput increases by more than 25% compared with pedestrian trucks. The fixed stand-on platform with enclosed side protection ensures maximum safety especially on narrow ramps or during frequent reversing. The ERE 225 is also available with foldable stand-on platform (optional) for flexible application as pedestrian truck in confined areas. High throughput The ESE 120 provides low cost lorry loading and unloading with particularly high throughput. The 2.5 kw rapid drive (optional) allows even higher speed and more powerful acceleration. Due to its narrow width of only 760 mm, the ESE 120 is able to pick up pallets from the side of the lorry easily and quickly.
