Please see our district web site ( for a current listing of vacancies and to complete an online application (click on Employment, then Search for Job). If you do not have internet access, you may submit a paper application at our Human Resources office at 1006 Communy Ave., Pascagoula, MS. All applications will remain on file for two years. All employees hired by the school district must pass a criminal background and child abuse registry check at their own expense. Visit our website at: for up-to-date listings of vacancies. Click on Employment! For each vacancy, there is a contact name and phone number. If you find a vacancy that you are interested in, you should call the contact listed for that vacancy to express your interest in the position, and leave your name and phone number. Applicants will be chosen for interviews at the principal/supervisor s discretion based upon qualifications and/or job experience. It is your responsibility to keep your application up to date with employment and contact information. Assistant Teacher Applicants: All Assistant Teacher applicants must meet one of the following qualifications to be considered for employment: 1. Must possess an Associates Degree or above; Or 2. Must have 48 hours of college credit; Or 3. Must provide passing scores for the WorkKeys tests: Reading(4), Math(4) and Writing(3). Please attach a copy of your qualifying documents to your online application. You may also provide our Human Resources office with the documentation so that our records will reflect your qualifications accurately. The Pascagoula School District does not offer the Work Keys tests for assistant teacher applicants. CARES of MS is a licensed ACT Work Keys Service Center and currently administers the Work Keys tests. They may be reached at or ext. 10. You may also visit their website for additional information and testing dates at Cafeteria Applicants: A copy of your application will be forwarded to the Child Nutrition Department. Cafeteria personnel are initially hired on a substitute basis. Substitutes are required to work, as needed, anywhere within the district (Pascagoula and/or Gautier). Permanent cafeteria employees will be hired from the substitute list. Questions regarding employment as a cafeteria worker should be directed to the Child Nutrition office at Custodial/Janitorial Applicants: A copy of your application will be forwarded to the Maintenance Department. Custodial personnel are initially hired on a temporary basis. Substitute custodians are required to work, as needed, anywhere within the district (Pascagoula and/or Gautier). Permanent custodial employees will be hired from the substitute custodian list. Questions regarding employment as a custodial worker should be directed to the Maintenance Department office at Transportation/Bus Driver Applicants: Transportation/Bus Driver applicants should contact the Transportation Department for a transportation application and information on obtaining a commercial driver s license. Transportation applicants must have at least a Class C commercial license with a P endorsement, pass a drug test and have a clear moving vehicle record.
