Articulation Agreement FOR A TRANSFER PROGRAM BETWEEN School of Business and College of Business Administration Miami-Dade Community College Florida International University * * * The purpose of this agreement is to enhance the process of transfer of the graduates of the Associate in Science (AS) in Business Administration from Miami-Dade Community College (M-DCC) to the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a major in Management at Florida International University (FlU). This agreement shall establish the conditions under which students from M-DCC shall progress to a junior year status as a Business Management major at FlU. In addition, the agreement shall include the formation of mechanisms for the ongoing monitoring and review of articulation progress and adherence to the conditions. 1. Program of Study 1.1 Participating students shall complete at M-DCC An AS degree in Business Administration All the specified courses in the Appendix 1.2 All the courses specified in the Appendix are transferable to FlU. Therefore, participating students will be able to complete at FlU a program of study in a time which equals approximately the number ofhours required in the junior and senior years of the degree program being sought. 2. Admission and Readmission 2.1 M-DCC is an open-admissions institution that assesses the holders of a high school diploma (or equivalent) wishing to enter this program and places them into courses on the basis oftheir academic background and/or demonstrated experience in specific courses. Applicants may be required to participate in the M-DCC assessment program. 2.2 A student completing the program of study in 1.1 will be guaranteed admission with junior standing to the Business Management major at FlU if the conditions of admission under "3.4: Conditions of admission: AS students" are met.

Condition of Admission 3.1 So as to assure the admission and academic success of participating students, M DCC and FlU agree to develop, maintain, and improve continuously a program management and reporting system. 3.2 FlU will Accept M-DCC's model of64 hours intact including the Labs: ACG 2021L, ACG 2071L, and QMB 2100L Establish a tracking system in Management for AS students 3.3 FlU's Management track for AS students will consist of66 to 68 hours (excluding foreign language deficiencies) New Business CORE (33 hours) New major requirements (21 hours) One of the two electives used for their General Education deficiency (3 hours) One of the two electives for a Business elective (3/4000 level) Two courses in General Education plus lab(s) ifrequired to complete their General Education deficiency 3.4 Conditions of admission: AS students Are strongly encouraged to satisfy the math and English section of the CLAST prior to transfer Will meet the 2.25 admission GPA as all other management majors Must earn a "C" or higher in all business pre-core courses Will be admitted as "Intended Majors" until the number of General Education deficiencies are 6 hours or less and the CLAST is completed Will have to meet all General Education deficiencies, prerequisite, pre-core, etc. ifthey wish to change their major 4. Termination!Modification 4.1 This Articulation Agreement is subject to change or modification by mutual written consent between the parties hereto. 4.2 This Articulation Agreement may be terminated by either party upon written notice to the other party given at least one year in advance of such termination date. However, it is understood and agreed that any student participating in the AS in Business Administration at M-DCC specifically tracked for admission to FlU or already admitted to FlU due to this agreement will be allowed to complete the program notwithstanding the termination provisions above, so long as the student remains in good academic standing and is making measured progress towards completion of a degree program.
